THIS is your reminder that you shouldn't need a prequel that came out several years after the initial series to ACTUALLY sympathize with a protagonist OR an antagonist! Sympathize more? Sure! The /only/ reason for sympathy? NO!

-age 15: sensitive, loves heartfelt stories with depth, low romance levels, and probably more towards contemporary
-13: DRAGONS. FANTASY. Lighthearted Middle grade, please.
-5: picture book!
