Uhhh ya, retracting my last progress update.

It’s definitely sad to hear the inner workings of how she felt growing up, and how she lived both under her mom’s thumb and in her mom’s shadow… but I’m also really hoping she’s not actually glad her mom’s dead 😬

Still getting some good one liners though.

Ana: Just keep your eye out for the fellow with testicles large enough to cause back deformities, and we shall have our culprit!

Malo: they are so fine and clean. […] I am unsure if they have assholes.

Something is missing. Din is different in this book. He feels… less invested, more rebellious. And the familiarity between him and Ana that we saw in Tainted Cup just isn’t there. Still very interesting plot, but the characters aren’t quite doing it for me this time around.

Pre-read. My cold cold heart seems to have defrosted a little too much this month, a few too many lovey reads I think. Time for some murder, mystery and leviathans.

Finally. And I guess I’ll have to wait forever for it to happen again. I both love and hate the yearn.

Honestly, this book is… cute. In a good way. A ridiculous parody of the romantasies we love, done well. The cheekiness is catching.
