Taking a break. Good story, kind of slow and currently I'm only enjoying one out of the three narratives so time to take a break. Will come back to it.

I'm stepping away from this story for a while. It's good, but there is so little magic/fantasy so far ABC a lot of war, violence, religious debate, political debate and the like, I just can't take it at the moment. Great story, just not the right time.

I want more of the serial likker aspect. So far a lot about a healer, corrupt officials and a lot of religious issues (plot related).

Very unique and fantastic

I know I finished book one only a week ago or so but I already forgot how violent this story/series is. Trigger warning: war, famine, drug use/abuse, violence and animal abuse... so far. Still an amazing story too.

Graphic violence, war, rape and animal cruelty. The last was not mentioned in any trigger warning I found before starting. Just FYI.

Extremely fun read so far. Its has more humor then I expected. Great mythology and cultural representation. I can't get enough.

I accidentally bought the mini versions of this series so it's taking me way too long to read each as they hurt my eyes. BUT they are to freaking cute to return. 😂

This is so much more enjoyable the second time! I am so glad I decided to re-read it. I am having so much fun!!

I LOVE this story. It is a classic for me for so many reasons. I recently finished A Lesson in Vengeance by Victoria Lee, and this is mentioned in that story, and I just HAD to read it again. I highly recommend both.

Going for a re-read because I bought the entire series and I forgot most of the details of this book. I am enjoying it more then I did the first time around however, and that is pretty cool.

*Trigger Warning* Chapter 22 (I skipped: hunting), killing and desecration of an animal.

Enough of the "I hate alphaholes" Bryce. We get it, you're an independent women who doesn't need a man. Too bad you're in a book with that trope. *Rolls eyes* (I never truly appreciated how repetative this authors book are until now. 😆)

I am soooo bored! A whole lot of nothing is going on here...

Turns out I'm the rare one who doesn't care for the steamy scenes; they do nothing for me in this story. I skim them. I never thought I'd say that. LOL.

So, we're going to try and make this a bit steamer huh? Okay, I'm down.

I'm only allowing myself a few chapters a day. Want to make it last. lol

Engaging story and I am enjoying it so far, I might save this for the summer as it has a darkness to it that really calls to my summer reading need.
