The Lesser Evil hits like ten times harder in prose.

The second of my “supplemental” reads to Locke Lamora and finding it pretty easy to sit with so far! And it’s just as fun as y’all have said it was. It’s neat it being a series of chronological shorts instead of one big narrative, it’s a nice way to ease me into the series I think.

By the Gods, this thing is really ramping up.

Wow, this thing found one hell of a new gear.

Continuing to be fascinated with this. There’s a fair amount more verse than I was expecting and it’s still making some real bonkers choices even for the 70s, but it’s forming a neat contrast with Locke Lamora.

Okay, I’m vibing a bit more with this now. I really appreciate so far that it’s a con job story first, fantasy novel second.
