The way Le Guin approached basically this whole series is endlessly fascinating (and immensely charming) to me. It might be one of the better cases of an author “discovering” their own world that I’ve ever experienced.

Slightly (mortally) terrifying to think about how people would gleefully vote for Greg Stillson today.
