Very strange writing style. I have to re-read sentences again and again because they don't make sense in my brain. And there are lots of parentheses...she writes a little chaotic, kind of like I think!!!

I think I am officially in a reading slump. This one is good, but has so many editing issues - not in Mateo's case, because I understand he is not an English as a first language speaker - but bad grammar, missing words, and it pulls me out of the story. The story itself, is slow moving, but I am enjoying it - even if I am forcing myself to read. Not a writing issue - it's a me issue!! I'm just blahhhh!
