I just physically swooned...I mean, I've swooned before, many times in fact, over a hero and his words or actions...but this was an actual physical reaction. If I had a fainting couch, I'd have bee laid flat out on that thing!!!

I am already hooked guys. If you don't get Jewel E. Ann's newsletter, you need to so you can get the book in installments (and help her shape the story). It was so witty and charming and saucy!! I'll steal a line someone else used and say "I was laughing like a well f'd hyena" (which in turn made me laugh more)

Here we go ladies and gents...installment number one has arrived, and I couldn't be more excited to start on this journey!!!

It's completely a book without romance or intrigue or action...but it so very good.

Great story, but what is truly amazing is that the dialogue of the deaf character is written in the true fashion of ASL. It's a fascinating look at how ASL works and how difficult it is for someone who only knows ASL to write.

I have no idea what is real, what is true, or what the hell is really happening...it's fascinating!

Well, that is quite a complicated secret!!!

This book can't figure out what it wants to be. It's touted as dark and carnal, but there's a lot of God in this book. It's very odd. But there's a secret that I'm pretty intrigued about. I think I've figured it out, but maybe not.....

Phew...this is a labor of love to read!!! Love the story, hate that it's so long and taking forever for stuffs to happen!

I can't even begin to imagine a mind that could conjure up this world I'm reading!

I have missed living in this world!!! But for heaven's sake - 626 pages, I'm going to be living in this world for a long time. I'm thinking about sending a change of address form!!!

So, I have no hopes or expectations...but it's surprisingly readable and entertaining!!

How have I not read more of this author's books? How am I only learning about Brooks now?? I need to climb out from under my rock more often!
