Heartwarming, heartbreaking, and hilarious: this is the book we need right now.

I am skipping very tiny portions of this as it covers migrant history I’m very familiar with. It’s a lot more dry than I was expecting but still an interesting and afflicting read.

Sorry but I love an old lady who has had enough.

She just wrote “oh, sorry, English” for a nerdy character. I’m sorry but that’s just such bad writing and a cliche no one enjoys unless it’s satirical.

Pros: Microaggressions are easy to understand for audiences

Cons: Unbelievable characters and a bit stockish in writing and plot
