It's not book related but Spike Lee's biopic on Malcolm X is incredible if you haven't seen it. Had to watch it for class but so glad I did!!

If you've ever wanted to know what every single character was wearing at every possible moment, read this. It's so hard to get through.

I LOVE SARA SO MUCH!! This book has had a a LOT of buildup but I think (and desperately hope) things are starting to pick up.

Just remembered my grandma lent me this like six months ago. I'm moving back to school soon so I figured I should probably read it and give it back.

The last few essays haven't much interested me. I'm hoping this picks back up.

I've deliberately put this off for years due to my intimacy with the musical and my likely unjust belief that the book would somehow pale in comparison. I'm happy to report so far I was wrong. It seems finally time.

I preemptively (after the third essay) called this the best book of 2017 and yet I'm still standing by it. Powerful, heartbreaking, and inspiring stories from the world's best storytellers.

If I already figured out this whole book I will be sad.
