Another solid Mystery. I like how Miss Marple came in a little earlier in this one compared with the last one. It's so funny how intuitive she is. People are the same all over, she says...

Is it that simple?
I mean it's sort of clear why Tristram would be there, inside the house, leave, and then make a grand entrance with his car like he were just getting there, right?

This narrator crushes the different voices.
So fun!!

I am interested to find out what is going on with Becks. I don't think it is what Judith and Suzie think it is...

Sounds like Sabrina was shy and Kelly was popular?
We'll see how this plays out.

I love Malfi's writing so much.
If you are a fan of Stephen King and you haven't checked out Malfi yet, you should. The tone and construction of his stories would most likely fit your tastes to a tee.

The tone of Malfi's writing and way her set-ups his stories always reminds me of King, in the best ways. It's so comfortable. This is going to be a good one for me!

I read the first two chapters before bed and am liking it so far.
I enjoyed how quickly Bartz got us to the meat of the story.
Our girl has just been picked up by Nathan at the train station and they are on their way to this amazing house.
Also, love that her cat's name is Virgo!

I'm definitely feeling the nod to American Psycho.
American Psycho bored me to tears.
This is actually better for me.
The feminist spin, the commentary the character is making...I like it.
