I like how Clare made this feel like you're learning along with Clary about the world of the Shadowhunters. It doesn't feel info dumpy, IMO. It feels like a very natural progression of knowledge.

If y'all are sleeping on Kylie Lee Baker as an author, wake up. Her stuff is absolutely incredible. So vivid and impactful. Wow, this one is disturbing and not so much because of the intense horror imagery that Baker creates, but more for the stark examination of the dark side of humanity.
