Lovinggggg this! Anja is so wonderful -- love her narrative voice.

Probably the most apathetic MCs I've ever read from, but considering the circumstances...sort of makes sense, NGL. I try to always stay positive, but I'm not sure where my headspace would be had I been through the series of events she's been through.

Obviously, I am really worried about Lex now, but Uncle Jack too!?!? They're gonna have their clutches in everyone!

I need to start dedicating more time to this one. I've enjoyed what I've read of it so far!

I do like the flow of this writing.
It's near-future, but I am more interested in the murder mystery feel I am getting than the political jabber at this point.

The feast...so creepy. Ser Voyne seening confused and losing time. That kind of situation actually frightens me. It's like she'd been drugged without knowing it...

Ughh, I just have a feeling this is gonna turn out to be someone close to Nola, and it's gonna break her heart 😪

For a fairly short book, it feels like this is never ending. LOL

This is definitely a compelling story. Very easy to get into!

I'm loving this one so far. It's definitely captured my attention faster than anything else I've read from this author thus far. Ser Voyne is giving me heavy, heavy, heavy Brienne of Tarth vibes and I am LIVING for it!

I'm so freaking annoyed with Kate right now. Why is she running around telling people about the private conversations she's having with Ronnie? Like how dare she trust this guy's word over Ronnie, and IMO, just gaslighting Ronnie about her thoughts/concerns when it comes to him. Who needs friends like that!?!?

No one is thinking of bringing freaking Anne in for questioning? She was soooo sus even the first time around. No one should be THAT attached to their boss...no offense...

Adam Lazarre-White, best voice in the biz, is in this one and I'm sooo happy about it. He makes everything better. LOL
