This is such an adorable book. It doesn't have the most exciting plot going on, yet the character interactions really make me smile.

I've beginning to think I didn't finish this after all. I do not remember the Barbarossas and the Gearies going to war. It kind of feels anticlimatic seeing as it's two mortals waging war against an entire family of immortals.

If I've read this, I certainly don't remember it. I'm at the part where Mary is talking to Colin and is convincing him not to order people to let him into the Secret Garden.

This book, when not delving into sex, is absolutely fascinating. I'm pretty sure I finished Galilee, but there's a lot of stuff I don't remember (Margie dying, Garrison's importance to the story, anything about the Civil War).

A part of me feels like I've read this book before or perhaps seen a movie about it while in elementary school, but thus far nothing is really memorable to me. I'm just now getting to the part where Mary discovers the entrance to the Secret Garden. I really like the way Burnett had Mary transform from a girl who cared about nothing to someone who cares about people.

Shortly after I started rereading this, I thought I remembered a scene later in the book where the character Rachel goes to Hawaii. I wasn't entirely sure if it was in this book or if I was confusing it with another, but a few pages back Margie suggested it to Rachel and I realized I was right. It's surprising what I do remember about this book and what I don't. I just wish I knew when it was I had finished it.

I'm loving getting hooked back in the world of Galilee. It's kind of strange, though, that the eponymous character hasn't actually appeared yet (except for a brief appearance as a child). He's been mentioned, but he has yet to be introduced.

Even though I like a few of Stephen King's works (Cell, Under the Dome) I find Barker's writing style to be so much better. King has a kind of hokieness to him that Barker just doesn't possess.

This book is kind of special to me. I bought it at Winn-Dixie back when I worked there and read part of it, only to lose it for a few years. Some years ago I found it and read it and really enjoyed it. It's the first novel I've ever read that I've decided to reread. Thus far it's just as good as I remember it.

I'm enjoying reading about Chaz's life, but he just doesn't go into enough details for me. I really wanted to read more about his estrangement with Sonny at the time of Sonny's death.

Thus far Transition is pretty interesting. I thought it was interesting that Chaz revealed Star Magazine knew she was gay for a few years but never outed her until she started to become a musician.

I finished the actual book itself, all that's left is the appendix and I'll be done. So nice to have finished a book in under a week again! LOL

I ust started following Jane on Twitter. She writes about a lot of near ideas I never heard of (like World Without Oil). I'm hoping that by following her Twitter, I'll hear about other exciting "experiments" that I can possibly participate in.
