A lot of people love Twilight and a lot hate it, so I decided it was time to read it and pick a side. Thus far I'm enjoying it. Nothing's really happened yet I like Bella's "voice." Of course once she and Edward (who currently acts like he hates her) start to fall in love, I won't be surprised if I start to hate them LOL.

The sickos have finally been caught. Now I guess the only thing left is the trial and sentencing. Unfortunately I already know that the mastermind behind the murders got off much lighter than quite a few others.

I kind of feel sorry for Bobby Kent. I can't imagine being betrayed by your own best friend. According to the book and the movie Bobby was also a monster but it's hard for me to believe he could have truly been that evil when of the eight kids the book is about, he's the only one who didn't murder anyone. The book doesn't make it clear if some of Bobby's actions were verified by sources other than the murderers.

Looks like I completely forgot to post my update yesterday. I actually made it to 471 yesterday and 490 this morning.

The first bit I read today was slow but then it picked up. I just wish Barnes were a more consistent writer.

Even after a government takeover was thwarted, there's still more going on. Two major events happened in the last few pages: one of them was expected while the other wasn't. I'm starting to think I will be getting the next book in the series though I still haven't officially decided yet.

I'm still not sure whether or not I'll bother with the next book in the series. I'm leaning towards it but I haven't decided yet. While there are parts that intrigue me, there are other moments that drag, and I still don't care about any of the characters.

I enjoy it but I doubt I'll pick up the next one in the series. There's just too much technical jargon and I still don't have any emotional connection to any of the characters. Barnes changes scenes way too much to become invested in what anyone is going through.

I enjoy it but it could be a LOT better. Barnes doesn't really do a good job getting you invested in the characters' lives (much like Grisham) but the story is mostly interesting. Unfortunately there's a lot of technical jargon that's distracting and takes me out of the plot.

Pretty interesting. I just wish Barnes didn't do so much jumping around and would instead focus on Heather, Zach, Jason, and that camera man.

When I'm not getting lost between all the jumping around and the technical jargon, I'm enjoying D51 thus far. A couple of the characters are annoying but it's not too frustrating. I just wish I could keep track of Heather's co-worker; they all blend in in my head.

I sort of like it and I sort of don't. There's times where it's interesting but the villains are all oddballs. I also feel like Barnes is a bit arrogant in his writing, almost as if he believes this is a really profound book but thus far it's not.

The first segment with the Vice President was pretty good, but then it went and changed tones. It really changes scenes too much to become very invested in the characters or what's happening. Thus far, the terrorists are annoying. Not a great start, but not overly terrible yet either. I see the possibility of it getting better.

Only just getting to the small Norse section. Unfortunately most of the stories look to be about "heroes" and not the gods which are who I'm interested in.

It's not bad but it's not great either. Maybe I would enjoy it more if so many of the heroes didn't blend together. I was thinking, though, that a really talented writer could make an AWESOME "Wheel of Time" style fantasy series using the characters from Greek mythology.

What are the odds? The first "update" on Goodreads is currently the Odyssey which is what the next chapter of "Mythology" is about to detail. Anyway, I just finished reading about the Trojan War. Unfortunately it's confusing remembering which heroes/gods/goddesses are on which side.

Once Edith quits telling a little about each god's background and instead starts retelling stories, the book picks up. I'm surprised that I enjoy the romance stories so much as I typically don't give a crap about romance. My favorite of what I read was probably Jason/Medea during the chapter about the Golden Fleece.

I love Greek mythology but Hamilton is pretty boring thus far. Maybe things get better but I'm not sure how this became such a treasured book about mythology.
