I could finish this in a few hours if i wanted, but alas, the days of staying awake until five AM finishing books are about to be further and farther between once more.

He dreaded it, was helpless to stop it, and then, with the same feeling of relief he imagined must come to a suicide when he takes his hands off the wheel of the speeding car and simply uses them to cover his eyes, he accepted it.

Eddie handed him the bottle. Stan took two, hesitated, then took another. He gave the bottle back and swallowed them, one after another, grimacing.
Then he went on with his story.

If you have to attach something political to this to agree with it, you're doin' it wrong.

"I saw it too," Ben Hanscom said suddenly. His voice was flat and harsh and scared.
Eddie looked up, his face still naked with tears, his eyes red and raw-looking.
"What?"
"I saw the clown," Ben said.

"We all float down here," the mummy-clown croaked, and Ben realized with fresh horror that somehow it had reached the bridge, it was now just below him, reaching up with a dry and twisted hand from which flaps of skin rustled like pennons, a hand through which bone like yellow ivory showed.

..Roux making me feel for people I barely knew in this series.
Oliver and Sabrina kicked ass in Catacomb, but hearing their tragedies in that voice, damn. My heart.
I always liked Micah. Maybe he didn't deserve it.

So. Here we go. The Warden. The very last Asylum story.

Going on the final go round with Asylum before I start Roux's new book, House Of Furies.
Sad Asylum ended, but I'm looking forward to learning more about characters we didn't get much of.

I love that Aunt Maddie thought to compile these into a paperback collection. We don't all have ereaders, you know.

Operation Nobody Likes You was a rousing success, troops.
We've been able to conclude that, in fact, most people will freak the frak out if the smallest thing (*cough* our puny little self-worth *cough*) goes awry.

I mean hell, I think we scared the trolls back under the bridge yesterday.

I barely slept last night, have stuff to do today that not only requires my cognitive function but also for me to part with cash, and I'm not happy about any of it.
They'll fix the 'likes', okay? My validation *snort* will soldier on.

I'm not meaning this as a callout on anymore in particular, just kinda book culture in general.

The more you call a book 'important', the LESS I want to read it.
Because if a book is so 'important', my constant sense of impending doom tells me I DEFINITELY won't like it

I've actually been reading this HULKING TOME (words :p) of a graphic novel for about two months, on and off, but I decided to add it because I'm bored I plan to finish it off this weekend.

My favorite vignette so far is ch. 7, Hazardous Youth.

This is too emotional to be horror. This is too feels-inducing.
The last two books I read were insignificant and funny, but I have... *cringe* feelings about this one.

I. Um. I thought this was a different type of zombie book.
I'm feelings things and I am NOT amused.
... Actually I am amused, Gregory is pretty funny.
But I'm also feeling feels and I don't like it!

Why yes, I WILL update my read dates in the review to reflect when I actually STARTED this, last night -_-
Honestly though, why was I putting this off? It's GOOD.
It feels like realistic fiction with just a splash of the fantastic.

The library can wait. I'm good for the late fees, they know that.

Alrighty, zomlings, this is #makemereadit: the FINAL challenge.
Books 1 and 2 were knockouts, and i was looking forward to this one the most.
Let's rock 'n roll with some zombieslaying.

Alternating between laughing, cringing and being engrossed in this story, not to mention scared, *snort* stiff by the monsters Smith presents.

This was tied with Inherent Vice for #makemereadit book #1, so it had better deliver.

YA sci-fi is one of my favorite genres (I need to start reading that one I 'started' reading two weeks ago, don't I?) so I'm hopeful.

More Happy Than Not has a lot of contenders, at least to me. Some of my favorite books are YA sci-fi (Proxy, Coda, Tracked, The Maze Runner, etc) so I know what I'm expecting.
