The character Thane Kyrell develops a lot throughout the book. As a boy he always wanted to be an imperial officer, along with his best friend Ciena Ree. Throughout his time at the imperial academy on corusant far away from his home world of jelucan, at first his experiences are good then his friendship is tested with Ciena Ree, who supposedly sabataged his blaster he designed for class. They don't get along for...

Yes, I would like to be a character in this story. I would like to be a character because it is exciting and exilierating. I would insert my self into the book as another ranger, instead of becoming a character. Even if I wasn't in the dramatic part of where the main characters were, I would still be on the battle field defending Araulen. Rangers are masters of the bow and I've always had an interest in archery.

The climax is the book is not when the bridge is burned, but when Will and "Evalyn" are captured by the Skandians who are their enemies at this time. As the bridge is burning Will has to protect the bridge while the enemies hurry onto it to put it out. Will is knocked unconscious when a large stone hit him in the head, Evalyn tries to defend with his bow but is unsuccessful and is captured. They now go to Skandia.

(I am rereading this series) This book is about an invasion. An invasion from a monsterous creatures, controlled by an evil person. The title explains the book. Will, the main character, his friend Horace and a their new friend "Evalyn" have to defend Araulen from a sneak attack from behind. Finally they push after scouting the bridge that crossed an uncrossable path. They are successful in destroying the bridge.

Erak, one of the backup main characters in the book is a strong, barbarian like person. He is not the smartest of people due to his race of the Skandians who are like barbarians and they weren't the smartest of people. He may seem like a big, scary person, but he cares much for his friends and people. He is also the leader of the Skandians and march them into battle and organize raids on small coast towns.

The purpose of this book was to persuade people to follow theirs dreams even if you've suffered losses and in a strange place. John Flanagen wrote this because he wanted to add information on how specific details in the main series "Ranges Apprentic" occurred. For example in the tenth book the Skandians had a new sail on their boats, this was invented by the main character in this book.

In the story the beginning is a bit slow. A boy, half araulen, half Skandian was in a ship wreckage and later discovered by Skandians. They brought him back to their strong hold and he began to live their life and started looking at designs for boats to make them faster.

I would interview Horace. I would interview him because he was very new to Nihon-Ja and the emperor there thinks of him as his son already. I would want to know about his connection with the emperor. I would also interview him and ask about fighting his new enemies with their sharp katana. They had trained since the age of 10 and he had from the age of 15. I would ask this because he was able to defeat many in combat

The novel's story would be different if there was a different narrator because the real narrator had a special feature to add to every scene and line that very few authors can script in their books and even this one. The stories and book to person connection wouldn't be the same. John Flanagen the original author/narrator has written 12 of these bookstore, he knows what he is doing and makes the book perfect

The best part in this book is the apprentice ship of Will's goddaughter Maddie to himself. She is not only the princess and ehrir to the throne, but the first ever female ranger. This makes the books a ,to more interesting because she has to learn not to live off riches and weath, but as a helpful and caring rangers apprentice. The worst part of the book is Alyss's death. In the reading Horace and his old friend George are on a "diplomatic" mission in Nihon Jan to figure out how they make their weapons. All the while Will and Halt, along with Will's girlfriend Alyss are in Toscana. In Nihon Jan a group of warriors, more like hundreds of warriors fight against the emperor who Horace AND George are accompanying. They get stuck up in this little battle and Horace stays at a s protector.

I would like to eat the main character will. I really like the work that rangers do in the book and their skills are what I am pretty good at, hiding, archery, horse back riding, and getting themselves into danger on purpose. I have a,ways enjo D archery and am pretty good at is, this is the main quality in Rangers. They also have throwing knifes, when I went to the renasaince fair I threw knifes and hit the targets.

The conflict of the book are the two Genovesans assassins who still remain, their missions is to kill Will, his friend Horace, and Halt his mentor. The rising action of the book would be when Will and Halt enter a forest where they know the assassins are waiting for them. The climax would be when Halt is shot by a poisonous crossbow bolt. The falling action is when Halt is nearly dead and Will is not their.

I would recommend this book and series to anyone. Adults and kids usually all enjoy it. I know atleast 10 people who have read the series or are reading it.

If I were the author of this book I would change the idea of the Skandians in this book. (Skandians are barbarian-like) In this book only three of them are entered into the book over the entire story. I would've changed the Skandians for staying with their boat at Arridi into going and saving their leader instead of just one of them. I would change this because they are powerful, fearless, and would've made the plot

The climax of this book was when Will and his friend Alyss found out that the Socerer Of The North was Fake! This is the climax because all of the first half before this event was about how scary and real this Socerer really was. The book title even was, "The Socerer of the North". Will had "encountered" this Socerer before and it looked real enough to him, and actually was very scary. Now they know it's fake.

Will goes the fief in diguised because their is a so called sorcerer in the forests.

The authors purpose in writing this book is to entertain the audience reading it, and for them to be reading it and feel like they are there. A message John Flanagen is trying to send the readers in this book is maybe that being small can be better because the main character Will is very small but he is very good at what he does.
