It is different to listen to the book but not bad. The "witch" scenes are very drawn out and when Chess is casting a spell, it sounds funny. Hmmm.. the story, well not much happening..yet.

Ok, for some reason I can't get a clear picture of what Captain Reynard looks like. I know he is tall, pale, long hair, and incredibly gorgeous but everytime I imagine him, I keep seeing the butler on the Adams family with long hair. Not the correct imagery. Please, someone who has read this book, help me out. Give me an actor that Captain Reynard might look like or I'll keep seeing the butler in my brain!

I have this in paperback and on audiobook (don't ask..long story). I'm dying to hear how the narrator handles the characters. She or he (not sure yet) will have to be a genius. I guess if I don't like it, I can always switch to the paperback.

I love the way Ashwood writes. The details, especially when she talks about the castle are incredible. She would make a good straight epic fantasy writer. While her world building is fantastic, her character development is great too. Even though Ashe Carver was a minor character in bk1 and 2, I still remembered her for this book. That is pretty darn rare.

I think I'm book bipolar. Changed my mind, not in the mood for a romance w/ a story slipped in between. I'll come back later to this.

If a child that was to be aborted (if the law didn't make it illegal the mother would have aborted the child) goes on to commit crimes such as robbery, rape, murder, is it okay to "abort" them later- as in unwinding? What if that child was your typical teen, with typical problems- no desire to do homework, missing curfew, etc., would it be okay to abort if the teen's parts could be put to good use?

I'm reading this book just to read it and get it over with hoping that the last 100 pages or so will change my mind and turn this book into something wonderful or even tolerable.

the paranormal YA craze is somewhat out of control. At this point, I wish Edward would have killed Bella. I'm getting tired of books where there is this doe-eyed girl that must know "the guy". This entire training, opening yourself up, run w/ the pack in an effort to "talk" to Chase seemed weird. I really hope this book gets better and not worse. I'm making no sense but it feels good to vent.

Ok, the book is moving super slow but I like the author's style of writing. Nevertheless, we need to move the story along.

This book, oddly enough, makes me think of the Prohibition. When people create laws or takes sides, do they really ever think of the long term consequences of their actions/decisions. This book can make you think but it definitely does not slap you in the face, and it really doesn't take a side. Good stuff.

Poor SciFi. I'd love to see this book in a scary or much more adult version. Regardless, this book is very enjoyable (I sound so formal). LOL

Gaia is in a heep (is that how you spell heep?) of trouble. I like that she stood up for herself w/ Grey. She's been very passive and obedient until she broke in. She now has a backbone!! Gross scene w/ the lady. (can't say or it would spoil)

I started this book before, was seriously disliking it so I stopped. (I was seriously picking on it especially Gaia and her clear ignorance). However, I knew I'd come back to it and here I am. So far, it has improved dramatically. Or has my attitude improved? Who knows. LOL

Poor Lev, I just want to hug the darn boy for being so clueless. Connor has such a heart behind that tough exterior. As for Risa, she's super smart but I'm not sure about her personality.

I used to be a straight Horror fan, then I found Richelle Mead, Karen Marie Moning & Jeaniene Frost. After that, it was all paranormal. Now after reading Feed & The Passage, I've been craving something along that line but with horror elements. I guess along the same lines as The Stand or The Road. Any suggestions?

The beginning was a bit rough but once the boys get themselves in the simulator it is great. Reminds me of the Robin Williams movie Jumanji for some reason. The author is great at writing any of the action scenes and the adult dialogue, it is the kids dialogue that is a bit weird.
