I'm taking a mini-YA book break. If I keep rolling my eyes this much, I'm afraid they'll get stuck in the back of my head!

Ok, this is not about the book but about the audiobook- the narrator CANNOT d0 women's voices. THANK THE BOOK GODDESSES.. this is mainly all men in the book. The narrator's "female" voice is some of the worst I've ever heard. I almost spit Diet Mountain Dew at my computer screen laughing!

You know what is one great feature about reading book 2 in UF's and dystopian books? The world building is already done! Well, apparently not. I've read 23% of nothing. Really. No real story yet since we gotta rebuild the world where Gaia is now. So new camp, some weird illness, men with interesting body parts, dictator woman, outcast hoochies & of course, potential lovvvvveee interest.

hmmm... so if everyone that leaves dies for some reason, how did the guy get out, he was obviously gone for a couple days when he found her. Why didn't he die? Just notes to myself. Trying not to use spoilers either.

I gave bk 1 only 3 stars (not great but ok), I'm usually very rough on dystopian YA books, and I'm even harder on the 2nd book in a series. If this book keeps my interest, it will be a miracle (and I'll be very happy)!

I usually don't like mysteries, or romantic suspense novels, but for some reason (we won't over analyze this), you add in a touch of m/m romance, and I'm all for it. I don't know why and I'm not going to try and figure that one out.

I'm glad this one is almost over. I'm not enjoying it nearly as much as the first one.

I had a bit of time before leaving for kid's games. I so want to stay and finish this book. It's killing me to know what is going on!

It's so easy for us to judge a "normal" family because well, they are normal. However, the key is to NOT judge the ones that are a bit unique because whatever standard you judge them by, is going to be wrong. That is my struggle so far in this book. I'm trying to diagnose Celeste & I have no business judging her!

Already liking this one. Pretty funny/interesting so far.

I hope when my teens are adults they think I did a good job raising them and felt they were loved.

I liked the first half of the book better than the 2nd half. It seems different now but still is enjoyable.

Emily's fingers curled softly into my little hair. I watched her eyes. I believed I would see her repulsion. But she was so soft & perfect. She lowered her hand & said, "See?" But I couldn't answer. She trapped my heart inside my head. Everything was changing. Except that quiet half of my head.

FINALLY, this book is picking up!

I love books that are told from teenage boy's POV. I've never been a boy (gasp...it is true) but I birthed a boy and when he came out, I wanted an instruction manual or something. My hubby is no help as he full of computer parts and is no real help in the care and feeding of teens (aka he is a computer nerd and eats, sleeps, and dreams computers). Thus, reading books with a teenage boy POV is eye opening (and sad)!

I guess I'll go put this back on my "to-read" list.

Since my other book decided to take up a hobby (swimming), I decided to read this one next. Nobody told me this would break my fricking heart! I like my heart thank you very much! I want it whole not in two fricking pieces!

So my book went swimming last night. I don't know, maybe the book was hot? Maybe, the owner of the book shouldn't have been carrying the book when attempting to figure out what the dog was barking at on the other side of the pool (an opossum btw)? Who knows. It's amazing how much water can be absorbed in a paperback novel!

I really should be reading some of my netgalley books but this one just is calling my name so......

The book seems to be dragging in the middle. In fact, I ended up looking at the time remaining on this audiobook thinking that it was going on forever! I think after awhile, the funny-haha becomes kinda-funny-lets-move-on to the story.

Seriously, this book is so damn good. I do not want it to end!

My 13 year old texting me during practice (obviously not practicing but messing w/ his friends).- Text from him- "hey mom, did Jar Jar Binks have testicles?" Me- "uhhh.. I don't know, I never looked that close" My son- "Didn't you see the movie?", Me- "yeah but I don't think they would show his testicles if he had them" My son- "Oh god, I meant tentacles".

My one hour lunch turned into a 2 hour lunch. This book is absolutely fantastic.

Listening to this on audiobook can get you in trouble. If you are smiling and driving, people next to you look at you thinking there is something wrong. Like you can't just be naturally happy while driving.

That initial change of POV confused me for a minute (I was reading at 5am so I'm slow). I like the book. Liv is harsh, and angry. I hope we see a kinder side.

Don't feel like reading... going to bed.

People, please don't text and drive, drink and drive, eat and drive, anything and drive. I can't believe I have to bury a friend because someone chose to text and drive!
