I knew I liked Pamela Clare's style of writing and I'm glad I gave her another chance. Loving the book. The cast of characters in this book is great. Catherine and Alex- talk about sexual tension!

oops... didn't mean to start this one. I MUST stop glancing at the first few pages of books. Some of them suck me in and don't let go. This is one of them.

Ok.. so my "Will" theory sucked. LOL. Anna rocks, Carmel is pretty damn cool too. In fact, so is Thomas. WTF, why don't I just say .. the minor characters in this book are well developed and interesting. Ok, much better.

Really, seriously, should I be worried about my Jamie obsession? I mean I'm reading a book about a book. Isn't that a bit weird? I guess if I recognize the insanity of it, that makes me sane, right?

I'm not reading this page by page since it wasn't meant to be read that way. However, this book is a great way to reduce withdrawals in between Outlander books. It's actually quite interesting. I love the Q&A.

I could have started this yesterday but I was one place, my Kindle was in another. I was stuck on a football field all day with just my Mp3 and a ton of kids (don't ask). Now, I'm a grumpy sun burnt tired girl.

Don't even ask how I ended up on this audiobook. It has something to do with being gone all day yesterday and this being what was on my "spare" MP3 (wasn't planning on being away all day). Here is the real kicker- I like the story so far. Finally a contemp romance where the characters aren't annoyingly perfect.

Was able to get a bit of reading here and there in this super busy Friday! On the road right now!

All I can say about this book is I'm exhausted on behalf of Evy. Please give the girl a break. Forget a vacation, how about one day off from torture. That's not too much to ask right?

Maxim & girl sharing tangerine- girl creating a dream life as Maxim's wife- interrupted by Maxim stating the tangerine is sour. Girl doesn't notice eating a sour tangerine. Interesting! Only a couple of pages later- girl notices that he hasn't proclaimed his love for her & she at first states he hasn't found the time but still has the time to talk about sour tangerines. hmmm.. so many thoughts...

Evy has given an entire new meaning to "giving someone the finger". Ok, I'm glad we are through round #8 of torture Evy. Of course, we have new problems with loverboy missing but at least I can look forward to someone else's torture for once (I'm joking people..please don't take me seriously).

Buddy read with Catie. I've already flagged about 10 passages from the book. I'm already hooked. Our young girl has no name, no identity. I love that. Hints are made of what is to come. The book of poems- first hints of insecurities over Rebecca. Mrs Van Hopper is one of those that makes herself feel better by bringing others down. I do not like her!

Please dear author/publisher... please change the book cover before this book is published. It deserves a better cover to attract the poison study/graceling group of readers.

OMG...now the torture after the last round of torture. Evy...I'm hoping for your permanent death even...enough is enough chickie!

Ismae, who do you trust?

If you even remotely liked Poison Study, you'll like this one. It is great watching Ismae's world open up and her way of thinking finally expand. Plus, the poisons, kick ass fighting, potential romance, and court politics make it even better.

Poor Ismae, I have a feeling she is going to be in for a rude awakening when she realizes that the Mortain ways is not as good, or pure as she thinks.

Call me determined... I'm picking this one up AGAIN. I've stopped it twice. Not because it was bad but because it is so damn depressing, it is more depressing than some of the teen angst stuff I come across. Evy gets stabbed, slashed, poisoned, torn up and threatened more than most UF female lead characters combined and I'm only just past the 50% mark!
