I'm nervous about this one. I've been searching for a historical romance/historical fiction book to WOW me not just wow me since the Outlander series. So far, nothing has come close. This book has so many 5 star reviews and then I began to notice plenty of my GR friends with 1 or 2 star reviews. How weird and confusing.

ok... I'm still going along with the book but I swear if there is one more misunderstanding, miscommunication or mis-something-or-other, I'm stopping. People, do relationships really go on like this where your actions are based on assumptions based on little snippets of conversation? How about if you are unsure, ask your partner? Otherwise, you don't need to be screwing them if you can't talk to them!

I need to stop reading this series. It really screws with my ability to sleep!!!!

Ok, Dallas....a bit son obsessed. Hopefully you learn quickly to value your new bride.

Still not feeling the book. I even switched to ebook to see if that will help. I'm going to continue regardless but it's not working for me real well.

I really like this series. I'm surprised that my love for book 1 wasn't felt as much by other reviewers. This book is very easy to read, tons of action. The very beginning was a bit sad regarding Aydin's gargoyle.

Doing a good deed is alot of work! Took me half a day to return an iphone that a guy lost in a parking lot! Finally free of that damn phone!!!

I have so many issues with this book...soooooooooo many.

Dad at a quarantine center...Callie responding to a weird msg from him.. "Are you sick? Do they know it?" He just repeated the code. Ok, so till this point, the reader is assuming the dad is Dead. I'm going to guess that is not the case. This is not a spoiler, I haven't reached that point but I'm just making a guess. Watch him be the evil old man...that would be funny (but bad).

so you have all these old people employed by the "Senior Employment Protection Act" but now you have teens being used as slave labor. Aren't you taking jobs away from the Elders?

"If she had a black eye or a broken nose, then maybe the body bank people wouldn't pick her." I thought the body bank could immediately heal wounds, scars, pimple, scars, etc., why would they not pick someone because of a black eye or a broken nose? Isn't that how the Senator identified Callie, because she looked too flawless?

"My high heel twisted on the stairs in the rush and my left shoe came off". hmmmmmm... the old shoe left behind trick. Sound like a fairy tale you know?

"residual spores in the air"... hmmm..why would Mexico need to build a wall... last time I remembered air can travel over a wall. If the spores can travel via air, a wall won't help.

Trusting Blake to delivery money to an abandoned warehouse when you first met him? WTF? Also, how can you draw a map from a location that you don't know (remember the car led you the right way via gps)

First time great-granny meets Callie...she basically says hi and then goes into a long speech about young people... way out of place.

Slow start but I'm guessing from all the positive reviews, this one gets much better.

You would think that the younger brother's "rare lung disease" might be caused by the fact that he has spores in his lungs??? GRRRR...I need to stop analyzing and questions. I'm driving myself crazy and not enjoying books this way.

Romance + humor + football... sounds like my house, couldn't resist. Plus, I need a book that will make me laugh.

Why is there no Enders to claim all these starters. If everyone over 60 lived, & peeps live to at least 200, isn't there at least one generation to claim the under 20 crowd? AND if the most vulnerable is over 60? Why not over 150? 60 seems like a baby if some live to 200? Me confused????

I'm wimping out. Didn't listen to any audiobook yesterday, trying to stretch out the ending.

Lots of questions on this. If an Ender goes into a Starters body, why doesn't the Starter then get in trouble by the law for walking around doing all this stuff. The starter would if she did it w/o the Ender inside? Does the starter wear like some dog tags or something? I'm sure I'll find out but just curious. Also distracted by Whitney Houston death. RIP.

"Spore Missile"??? Are we talking from another country? hmm.. to survive the trip in a missile..our most likely candidates are...anthrax, or a toxin like T-2. Or a made up agent if I could turn of my work brain!!!

I'm scared to read this one, the reviews/ratings are all over the place.
