Absolutely love this book. McCammon is brilliant in drawing readers in so quickly.

PTSD.. had a step father with it (Vietnam) and it is scary. Feel bad for Travis, but regardless.. he must stop screwing his ex.. don't care if it feels good or not.

McCammon's attention to detail reminds me of Gabaldon.

OMG... the tavern owner at the beginning... what a disgusting, hideous, horrible, filthy, pitiful excuse for a human being. Do you get that I don't like him?

The weirdest thing is happening to me... I am on leave from work due to elbow surgery, I have nothing but time to read, but no desire to read right now. WTF? This is prime time to read but no desire to read. Makes no sense.

I wasn't going to start this one but I ran out of audiobooks and this was the only one I had left. With my elbow surgery, I couldn't do too much computer work so I couldn't download more. Long story short, I'm actually liking this!

Ok... author must love clothes and makeup. However, if you quickly zip through the unnecessary details, it's not bad at all. Go sexy Tate.

Not much happens in this one. blah, blah, blah, chris disappears, blah, blah, blah, eddie and lee do "it", blah, blah, blah, they blow up a house blah, blah, blah.

The book has seriously fizzled for me. I loved the story but there is so much drama that it almost seems forced. The pace is uneven and I keep losing interest.

This book has a major flaw. When the author changes POV, there is absolutely no indicator. Very frustrating. Other than that, I'm liking it.

If you are calling a penis a "thing" and calling sex "it", then you might not be exactly ready for "it". Still like Ellie and Lee, they are definitely teenagers regardless of them trying to save their country.

Boy, Ellie and Homer sure like to hear themselves talk. They have some long speeches in this one. Slower start but definitely picking up.

I'm in love with the characters in this book. Hoover is a magic maker when it comes to character development. The story is slower, and not as emotional for me but I love it regardless.

Hoover writes some great characters. I obviously could not stop reading (like last time).

OK...major attention book disorder going on here. I'm not feeling this one right now. I guess no angst for me right now... adult or teen. I'll come back to this later.

What a refreshing non-annoying main female lead character.

Ok. It's not the book, it's me, I just need a break from the book. I'll get back to this book later when I'm in the mood for it. I know, it was a quick change but I could feel myself getting annoyed so it's a mood thing not the book itself (at least I don't think it is the book). I'll come back later to it.

Ok. Something about Soren is giving me bad vibes. I don't know if it is foreshadowing by author but my ick factor with Soren is through the roof. Why would Nora leave him but love the D/s relationship & everything he did to her? Why was she with him at such a young age? WTF is going on here? Why would Nora get together with such a young Wesley? Is this a learned behavior or spontaneous? So many questions/no answers!
