enjoying this. love quinn, so nice to get his pov, but also... feel like i'm missing out on stuff, there's a whole background of confusion cuz i can't quite recall what happened to who in what order in the main series

Oh, I'm on a roll. It's that final lap sprint! On track to finish this in under a year! (No, really. I started this in March 2022.) On the downside, the final story is Tolstoy again, barf. But it's only 6 pages! Yay!

"Short" Story #4, 50 pages of soul killing Tolstoy, ugh. It was like I was the one slogging through snow drifts, ready to welcome death with open arms. Saunders' Analysis is really good, but OMG I hate these stories he's picked sooooo much.

Welcome your new main character, kids! (Really shocked #whale weekly restrained themselves and only sent one chapter this time. Was expecting like 4.)

Not that I'm not enjoying this, but feeling inclined to start something else alongside. Part of what makes this funny also makes it decidedly NOT a page turner... idk

(¬_¬) me, half way through the poem part, side-eyeing the clown I saw yesterday saying this book was awful cuz mystery / puzzle / ambiguity / blah blah, but at least the poem was really good. [the poem is trash*, and I can't wait to get back to our unreliable critic's batshit insane commentary] *(the skill/wordplay of poetry impresses me in the abstract, but I'd rather read the back of a cereal box, tbh)
