So Jeb's overprotectiveness is still kinda annoying me, but I love his nicknames for Morpheus. Mothra? Dances-with-bugs? I love snark love interests, especially when their snark is actually, you know, funny.

The blurb made this sound a lot more like silly triangle drama than it is. I like that Alyssa isn't taking shit from this guy because he's "sexy" or some shit like that.

It started off a little bit slow but now it's like "What? Dinner? But I wanna keep reading!"

I really don't approve of electroshock therapy done on people who aren't capable of consenting to it, and I'm glad Howard wrote Alyssa to be all "Fuck that shit!" rather than thinking it's a good idea.

Holy shit, this is fucked up. In a good, Alice: Madness Returns kind of way, but fucked up nonetheless.

I hope Jeb stops being so overprotective. I like the vibe this has, but that's really annoying.

Why are these stupid epilogues so interminably long!? I don't give a shit about everyone's fee fees. We get all this "resolution" but not an explanation of how the fuck Jace managed to get to Lake Lyn when he was basically dead!

Of course Clary's not fighting in the battle. This is the problem with something like this. I get not making all female characters warriors, but in a book like this, with so many male characters in active roles and doing so much more than the heroine, it makes the heroine a bit player in her own story.

Right, Clary, Jace is not your brother. Obviously. Also obvious: We'll still have to wait a good 100 pages or so for this brother/sister drama to be fully over with.

Wait, WHAT!? Valentine clearly tortured people, but Jocelyn doesn't think of him as a torturer? What the fuck is wrong with these people?
