Caught Between Pages > Recent Status Updates

This is going at breakneck speed--I feel like I need to catch my breath after every chapter--but I really like it! LOVE the nods (well, more than nods) to familiar Arthurian legend, and I love the rejection of the toxicity of that part of history even more.

The flashback/forward format is a little jarring, because I go from beginning to care about the present timeline to the past just for long enough to take me out of the story. That said, the social dynamics of this town and the widereaching consequences of murder even on the killers' family is really cool and really carries the scariness of the story more than the killing does.
I think this'd do very well as a show.

I forgot how spooky Noah is in this book. My poor son 3

I love Sam Shannon's action scenes--they're so well choreographed, they LAST, and the build up to them makes them feel (though they're intense as hell) like a sort of catharsis.
THIS is what we've been building to, this is what all that tension is for.

I'm so excited to read the end tomorrow, but at the same time, I don't want it to be over!
