The twists and turns in this book is so exciting!

The never ending twists and turns of the world of fairy.

With that prologue you can’t help but feel sorry for Cardan. He’s got his own plans that we need to see unfold.

The betrayer has been outed. Jude is now in the undersea. No mention of that is happening on land. Still trying to scheme for the crown.

Enjoying the book so far. Looks like there may have been diaries left from her mum. Probably some insight into the past. There was mention of a fire that was supposedly Ferns fault. I guess the flashbacks will be the flashbacks of the day spent with Will in Toronto.

Will painted the mural at the coffee shop Fern used to work at previously. That’s how they met 10 years ago. Jamie was her ex. I don’t know what happened to Jamie and Fern before. Made Will angry when he realised.

Start sounds promising. Similar to every summer after it’s a story ten years before catching up to now. The backdrop of a hotel on a lake.

This book is so good. Spanning a relationship over a decade. Watching people grow and mature. The love between family and brothers. Best friends to more. It’s the best and also bitter sweet.

Some lunchtime reading. Sam has had a growth spurt. Can tell the relationship is about to start to change. Charlie the older brother is in the background. I hope through this heartbreak there is a happy ending.

Seeing some reviews about a cheating theme. Not looking forward to that but I have started the book now. Going in with some skepticism.

It’s so strange to think that Percy left. She didn’t see them for 10 years. I feel her sadness. Returning to see these people after she hasn’t in 10 years. The changes that have happened in all their lives.

Interesting flashbacks. My thoughts are she’s going to get with Sam. Although she’ll have a moment with the older brother. They then don’t tell Sam. He eventually finds out the summer of the big break-up. Could be wrong but we’ll see.

Wonder how Jack is going to apologise for the paper he wrote like many years ago before they even met.

Loving the book!

Really enjoying the book so far. Shame Elsie didn’t get the job.

Obviously the main character found a way to hate the guy.

Enemies to lovers! Yay! Some science context thrown in so far.

Enjoying the beginning so far! Introduced to a couple of the characters. Presumably the two main characters. Excited to see the science aspect to this book.

The way she writes the books you just don’t want to put them down. Does Carrie win Wimbledon! I want her to! Everyone loves a comeback!

Character development. Glad to see she has emotions. Her dad told her to enjoy playing. Carrie had drinks with her competition. She’s chatting to Bowe. She’s feeling the rush of playing tennis again. Plus the emotion when her agent came to Wimbledon. Starting to root for Carrie Soto!

Character progress. She’s catching feelings! Had to get google lens and use translate to keep up with the Spanish conversations. Was trying to fill in the blanks before and guessing. As the story went on I thought better actually translate.

Bowe saying to Carrie how she came back to win and not to play! Well done! Carrie is so stubborn and like a one track mind. It’s changing but still the same and more than half way through the book.

Not sure what Cardan is scheming in the background. Difficult to understand the fae way of debauchery.

Interested to see how the relationship with Huntley develops. Enjoying the transcripts of the sports presenters and newspaper articles throughout.

Picked up the book again on my kindle app today outside in the sun at work. Continued reading this evening as got into the story. As much as Soto is arrogant I do want to see her win to show comebacks can happen. Glad she didn’t win her first slam to bring her back to reality. Not always about winning.

I think Jude is enjoying the power. It’s weird to see the change of character. Not sure I like it. I think she’ll do something bad in the future and realise her mistake. Her change in personality and heart. Not sure who the person who has already went against her. The ghost from the shadows or another.
