Good action story, though I like more history and symbology than I’ve read thus far. I love the Artificial Intelligence figure names Winston!

This is long, long ... and fabulous. The suspense and twists along the way will hold the reader absolutely entranced. The secrets revealed are worth the wait!

Kate Morton at her finest. Even the length of the story does not seem excessive (18 CD's). The mystery and the characters are intriguing.

The story moves slowly, but so did life in the old aristocratic families of England - even during the war and the rationing and the loss of all the help who traditionally ran such estates. I am hooked to see how the current generation connects w/ the three ancient sisters who remain very much alive some 40 years after WWII.

Macon Dead and his unusual black family growing up in the 1930's. It is a picture of black family, culture, and discrimination; same dynamics between parents and in marriages, with added interesting characters like Pilate Dead (allegedly born w/o a navel). Beautifully told and full of surprises.

If you consider yourself a reader and you love TKAM and the Southern literary genre... finding new titles dropped like treasures among the book you're reading... get this book. In conversation with Nelle Harper Lee, this author captures the same language and description that we loved in TKAM. She is Scout grown into a feisty, opinionated woman. Now I need to re-read Go Set A Watchman with a new perspective.

Johanna meets Jefferson Kidd when he agrees to transport her from Wichita Falls to her family near San Antonio. Along the way, I fell in love w/ them both. Really, I was in tears several times along their journey.

Wonderful! A bit predictable for an adult reader, but a thrilling and exciting adventure of medieval life and hardship. Power still corrupts.

I can't wait to continue and find out about the castle and the sisters.

I love the three siblings in the McKotch family, and I have even developed sympathy for father Frank. The mother is a neurotic mess, and I still don't see much to empathize in her. Now that I am so involved w/ the family, I dread to see the train wreck that appears to be coming...
