Charming. A bit more rambling than I recall, but such a sweet story.

No matter what sort of Christian you are, the details and perspective of the Romans and Greeks who encountered Jesus at Passover and the cruxification are powerful. So much to learn about the greatest man who ever lived, and what He wants to teach us always.

Fabulous... a slow start, frankly, but now the impact of Jesus combined w/ the lives of a group of Romans is a compelling story.

I am determined to finish this, and I say that not because it isn’t a beautifully told family story. The book promises a redemptive ending, so I am in the middle of it. The dialogue and the thoughts of the characters are realistic and hurrying in an urgent way that captures the intensity and depth of their emotions. I am eager to see how the conflicts are resolved.

A captivating story, despite my hesitation that it would be too dark. It is a perfect illustration of how one lie changes everything, especially the liar.

This book certainly grabbed my attention from the beginning. The feelings of both the mother and the nurse are made particularly vivid.

Very good! Detective Artemis Punt is so interesting, and there is always intrigue in a small English village.

Sweet, slow-moving, and full of people who are human but love each other as we all should. Ahhh. A treasure and a respite from the noise of today.
