But overall I really just want to put the book down. And never pick it up. Ever.

So this book is not my thing. I don't like the author's "voice". I'm finding this book to be more showing what the character can see than us having an introspection into them. I know it's meant to be "artsy" but for me it's coming off pretentious…

Jo's deadpanning keeps me inthralled in this book.
