He was the man who slew the giant Goliath but had Saul jealous of him, so he ran away from him. He was a poet, musician, and gifted warrior. He married the king's daughter. He was forced to wait like so many in The Bible for God's Promise to Him to be fulfilled.

Ruth wanted to marry Boaz and make a place for her in his home. As God wants us to make a place for Him in our hearts because He waits for His bridegroom to take us home to Heaven.

In life, we need to stop and see that God is working and He will cut everything off until we are finally at the very foundation of ourselves. That is when He can bring overflow in our lives. He can finally restore us from the years that the locusts and canker-worm have eaten away. This book is the perfect example of ultimate redemption that comes to us from God...

They arrived in Bethlehem, where Naomi was originally from. Ruth ultimately would become the greatest grandmother to David around 1,000 years later. Ruth was almost like the female version of Abraham she left her home and never looked back she kept seeking The Lord. Ruth was the perfect example of being a faithful friend. It was so strong a friendship it was intimate like we should have with God...

A lot is covered in this chapter, a book I've never really read before in The Bible. The book of Ruth, who was widowed she was a very sympathetic woman. She lived with her mother in law Naomi, who begged her to leave her because she felt she would be a burden. This is the most amazing example of love and commitment to someone anywhere in scripture.They set out for The Promised Land traveling together in the desert...

God's angel came to comfort her. As her life went on, she and Abraham came together and remarried when he was 140 years old to Keturah, who was Keturah, another name for Hagar. They ended up having 6 kids together. Where Hagar encountered the angel of the Lord she named the place Beer Lahai Roi or Well of the One who lives and sees. God kept His promise to her and us He sees and acts on our behalf He will deliver us.

Hearing God obeying Him and healing this is what God did for Hagar, but she had to be obedient to God for this to happen but He needed her to go back to Abraham and Sarah after she had been told to go to the desert wilderness and she had to listen to what she was told. Hagar heard God's Promise and His command, but it's another to do it. Sometimes, it can be challenging as God's people...

This chapter goes over Hagar and her history and how she was Sarah's slave and she had no rights as how her life would go. She ultimately outlived Sarah and Abraham's sons wanted her to marry their father to fix things after Sarah's death. God saw Hagar suffering so He sent an angel to show He is always close to those of the broken hearted and beaten down by life...

Then there was Ruth, a woman with no future, David, an anointed king, and Mary Magdalene, who was mentally ill from seven demons that invaded her body. God helped all of these people and delivered them from their despair. He can do it for us, too.

A very short chapter on God's Promise to all the people He helped and how He makes something from the times when we try to take things into our own hands. There are 4 people in the Bible He helped along their way Abraham and Sarah and Sarah's maid Hagar and how Sarah could not have a child so she told her maid to sleep with her husband to make her dream happen and she had a son...

Many more happened, but He could because He was God incarnate in the flesh, as He once said in Mark 10:27 - "All things are possible with God."

This chapter is one of the most focused chapters on the Miracles of Jesus and the many He made happen. It focused mainly on the woman with the bleeding problem she had for years and how her faith saved her because she proclaimed that she knew if only she could touch Jesus' clothes she would be healed and she was immediately. If i'm honest, I had a hard time understanding this chapter and what it was trying to say. I believe it was trying to say God is all through the Bible we just have to understand this. Even though it contains 2 Testaments, it's one story altogether. The love story of God, how He helped many people back then, and how He is still working even today. He longs to see us all return to Him again in His house.

That has to be the longest chapter in this book so far. Lots of information covered. I like the short descriptions at the end of each chapter that tell you what the chapter was mainly about. The many names God has in the Bible, which is over 100 one being Jehovah Jireh, meaning the God that provides. Jehovah Elohim is another name meaning God the Creator. Adonai Elohim or Lord God...

She was chosen as a young girl to carry the Savior of the world so that we wouldn't have to suffer as Christ suffered for the sins of all man kind. We can learn a lot from Mary. She never questioned what was happening she said, "Let it be done to me according to Your Word - Luke 1:38. She chose to be obedient to God. She had patience, she held on to God's promises. On the third day the angel told her Yeshua had risen

I wasn't expecting this chapter to be as long as
it was, but now I see why. Mary was the person who was the most obedient to God. Not like Moses, not like Joshua, though he was close in relationship with God. Abraham and Sarah before them. Mary is the ultimate disciple of Christ. She didn't know how or when things would happen that wasn't important to her...

This is someone who had so much zeal for God to serve. Joshua's name was also changed which I never knew this fact. It was changed by Moses through God before he passed on. It was changed from Hoshea to Yehoshua to Joshua which means "The Lord Saves." God changed his name to show him that old person is dead that you used to be, he couldn't go back to it, he was someone. In a way, Joshua was reborn in God.

A long chapter on Joshua's beginning a lot on his life as he gets the staff passed to him from Moses as he was getting older and also how Moses disobeyed God, and now Joshua was the true disciple to take Moses' people into the promised land. He truly wanted to know God more and studied in His Word. He wanted to do what God wanted him to do...

This chapter was about Moses and how God showed him he wasn't to be a sheppard. He was to be a son and leader of God. God showed him that even when he thought he couldn't do what God wanted him to do, he ended up completing the tasks God wanted except him going to the promised land because of his disobedience at the end. God determines our destiny. Since Moses couldn't complete the last task, God used Joshua next...

Queen Esther is also mentioned as being beautiful. She had the honor of being a True Princess within. She was more beautiful on the inside than the outside. She was the desire of the king like Sarah she was the desire of the kings of Egypt and Gerar. God's beauty is to radiate joy that comes from deep within us, as mentioned in the Book of Esther. God changed Sarah forever and brought beauty from the ashes...

A lot to think about... This chapter focuses on Sarah and her kind of non belief that she couldn't have a child in her old age. She does conceive later on in life. Her son would come to be known as Isaac. She became weary as we all do waiting on The Lord, but yes, God came through for her. Scripture does say she was one of the most beautiful women in The Bible and of that time...

I didn't think I would pick up this book so fast as I now am reading The Bible, I'm being reminded of Abram/Abraham's story and how he trusted God completely and entirely. First with Sarai/Sarah and now with his first born son to be the sacrifice to Our Lord. God saw his obedience and know he wanted to follow what God said completely. He is a great example of what it means to follow God in Sojourning Faith.

That was the slowest ending now Igraine recognizes who Morgan was and that there was always something different in her since she was a baby and now she is seeing something in her. I didn't like this ending it needed to be fleshed out more at least a few more chapters I don't agree with the rating of this book. After Morgan sees Thomas again it all went downhill from there...

Morgan seems to be giving up her ego and power here yes she was not fond of Arthur but now she and her mother meet with Merlin it was time for Arthur's coronation and she was thinking why she was never treated the way her half brother was being treated she knew more than him why had she not been a queen yet. But a coronation was being held to make her half brother a king her sister would also join them.

Morgan now realizes what she did and the pain she caused herself, and Thomas, with the milpreve she was now alone in the world and was taken back to Avalon as Cernunnos brought her there while still alive. She finds her mother at the end saying how Arthur has returned, and he win be crowned King Arthur for pulling the sword from the stone. Morgan had no idea what was going on...

The intruder that came after this would be the death of Thomas as Morgan had envisioned first the intruder cut off Thomas' hand then it was the end of him after that long scene of her not wanting to let him go. That it wasn't in her power to let him leave because she knew he would die, well he's finally gone...I didn't think I could take anymore of the back and forth arguing of her not letting him leave...

Ok, now we are getting somewhere. I would have done something different if I was Thomas in this scene. He finally found what had been giving Morgan the power to do the things she had been doing with so much power in the milpreve. It got rid of a lot of magical things that were happening, and the invisible walls around Caer Morgana came down...

This has to be the corniest chapter in the book ever since Thomas has returned all she wants him to do is rest and bring her flowers that's all she is talking about in this chapter it does nothing for the story. He is treating her like a queen. I don't know what the author was thinking with this chapter. Honestly, it could have been left out of the story.
