John is really looking at himself right now he is worried he may or may not have enough time to write all that God wanted him to do, and that is write, which would eventually be his Gospels. When they looked for Jesus He was already on the other side of the river, and they wondered how he got there. He told them all who would come to Him would never hunger and never thirst because He is the Bread of Life.

The miracles of feeding the multitude of people his disciples knew He would create more than what was provided there was even more left over to feed the disciples and the miraclulous miracle when Jesus walked on water it isn't too descriptive but they seemed to not wait for Him but they knew He would make His way to them. Still, it was amazing to them.

They were trying to put up a gnostic church this would, in turn, lead the people astray as they would lose all sight of their salvation with God what they couldn't accomplish on their own. They would try to find salvation in themselves they would deny God and Christ and the power of His Salvation...

Another miracle Jesus did for a man who could not get up and was almost paralyzed and could not get up to get in the pools to be healed. Jesus told him to get up, and the man was healed. Jesus told him sin no more, and you will be well.
The pharisses were upset that Jesus was comparing Himself to The Father, though they didn't know He was the Son of God...

Then there was the nobleman who's son was dying in Capernum and Jesus healed him from afar as Jesus once said, "Go in peace, your faith has saved you, but this time it saved the man's son to be once again whole and healed Jesus healed the boy from afar because of the faith his father after walking 40 miles. Just goes to show God isn't limited by distance and time. He is the master of distance and time.

Jesus is the Son of God in the flesh, who should be worshiped in Spirit and Truth. Just goes to show that Cerinthus was wrong, leading his people astray. Next was the miracles Jesus did from close and from afar. I feel this one speaks to people in modern day. The miracle when Jesus turned water into wine...

This chapter goes into who Jesus was. The story of the woman at the well her being a Samaritan and Jesus a Jew but He made her realize He was no ordinary man He was the Son of God who could bring about Living Water as she was trying to give him water that men would thirst again if they drank it, He could provide what she couldn't from a well...

Jesus would spend time personal time with his disciples. He let them know whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. He who believes is not condemned, but those who don't are already condemned. At this point, John was done for the day as he went to bed.

John was continuing his words about the Lord, but Policarp wanted to write them down, and Ignatius was wanting to hear more, but John wasn't sure they should write this down at the moment. He wanted to wait till the next day. He would continue about the day Jesus was arrested and taken away...

This is one book that keeps getting better and better. There was almost an argument with Cerinthus again. Policarp stopped John. He shows us all the times he spent with Jesus before He went to Heaven before He took the cross. He knew Him as a friend. This was a beautiful chapter we were shown the character of Jesus. You could see and feel what it was like to be around him. He was so kind to His Friends His disciples.

What a beautiful chapter, the beginning or 1st John is written. Policarp is so amazed at what he's hearing it wasn't the words of John but of The Lord Jesus Christ. It also explains how the apostles knew Jesus was the Son of God when the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus and stayed with Him The King of all Israel...

I'm loving this book more and more with each chapter. John and Policarp get ready to start writing as God instructed. They get everything set up, and Policarp admits he was once doing
it for himself, but now The Lord has talked to him as well, and now he has more devotion and eagerness to start than he ever had before. God humbled him in a way.

John at the end, here starts to write what we now know as scriptures from The Bible with Policarp writing it for him as his scribe. John would tell him what to write about the time he spent with Jesus and the teachings and stories he would tell him in private. He was the only disciple left. This is how he would show others about his Lord and God...

That was one chapter I couldn't get enough of though John was upset at all the blasphemy and heresy that the leader of the city was preaching he finally backed away as his friends Ignatius and Policarp brought him away and John got a chance to talk to some of the followers of Cerinthus and told them he was telling them lies he wouldtell them of the One True God...

I would be there with John speaking the truth to the people of Ephesus their leader is making them believe heresy that saving themselves comes from their own God power which is wrong. Cerinthus is speaking false beliefs about who Jesus was and is. John is furious with him but tells him the way he believes his beliefs on his God will never save him or his people. God is 3 in one.

John, Policarp, and Ignatius are at the Roman pools, and John doesn't like that they are there, but the other men had got in. John is upset that Cerinthus is speaking heresy of God he just wanted to leave already being at the pools never felt right to him...

This is where John, Policarp, and Ignatius get to know each other in Ephesus in 94 AD. Ephesus was not a good place to be as it was filled with roman pagan baths that were practically temples to false gods with idols. Weirdly, John still was looking forward to the Roman bath pagan or not...

He once said Isaiah 43:2 "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze" John was laying down his life for His Lord and did not deny Him, so God saved him. He came out of the oil unharmed. He proved God is real.

I just picked this book up, and I'm hooked as I was doing some Bible Study. This is the subject of the topic I was going over now. I know what really happened to John. This story is fascinating. God really protected John... He stands firm to His Word He gave us...

The been in this town and now it was time to leave on a boat. That was another filler chapter...

I couldn't say what that chapter was about it just sounds like they are in this new town called Threefork and new characters are being introduced. Nothing much happens...

I can't say I understood why that chapter is in the book. It doesn't move the story forward. it's the witch talking nonsense things to her helpers and how worthless they are. To bring the brothers to her so she can make them worthless like them.

I couldn't really say what that chapter was about another slow one. Just more traveling to a village and Hadyn wanting to get back home, he missed his dad.

I hope this book picks up again. I didn't really care for that chapter on Asandra's upbringing and how she was abandoned. I think that chapter could have been written better it could have been cleaned up better, one character saying one thing about her, then taking it back once he realized something. She seemed strong but the way that happened she made herself weak. Then again it could have been left out of the book.

Wow the place they were in caught fire out of nowhere but could have been the people on the outside trying to kill them. They managed to escape and the building finally collapsed in on itself bringing the roof down into the inside of the building itself, making sparks to go up. What a crazy scene this broke them.

Now I feel like we are getting somewhere the adventure has started we are coming into the world of the fey. This is just the beginning there is a queen of this world named Elysabel. There wasn't a king she had to let him go though she mentioned he was beautiful...

Seems like a sorceress is behind the things that are happening at the building the boys are at with the other travelers. This sorceress is watching them now...

Finally the story is picking up some all of a sudden there is a scene of the birds trying to attack from the outside of the building they are in. There seems to be someone or something also trying to get through the door to this place but isn't making its way in, but is it human or something else? I'm not sure...

Ok I thought it was just me. A lot of that chapter reminded me of The Lord of the Rings with all the traveling the characters are doing by foot on land. A lot of landscape descriptions and sky details. I was bored reading all of that. I thought I wasn't focused, but it's definitely this chapter. It didn't get any action until the ending when the birds started to attack...

The first slow chapter in the book so far. It just seemed like they were getting ready to take the boys somewhere so they could be on their way home. Or try to find an answer to why they were in Karac Tor and why it was happening now...
