A sound was heard a dog barking something they very familiar. Suddenly, movement was coming up the road, someone riding on a weird looking car. It was Jack he was back. He was excited they asked where he had been, he said hold a town meeting. They asked when he then replied Immediately! He was going to tell them where he had been... in Christmas Town. There was excitement as they waited. Jack was prepared for it.

Jack was now missing everyone had been looking all over town, nothing came up. It was time to sound the alarm. As that was happening, Sally was brewing up soup for Dr. Finklestein she was trying to escape again and she pretended to taste it as he was hesitant at first because of the frog's breath. Then she used her spoon with the holes in it and placed it up to her lips pretending to taste it he then gulped it down.

He also hears a sound that he's a little familiar with that makes him think who is this could it be the leader of this new town called Christmas Town he sees a shadow of a man something he knows but it doesn't feel frightening. Who is this he thought.

Jack has come to a whole new place falling through the hole in the tree in the Hinterlands shaped like a tree. A land filled with white stuff falling from the sky in the form of flakes which he find out is snow. This is the scene where the he sings the song "Whats This". He wonders why everything is so colorful and everyone is so joyful. He sees the lights on strings and the decorated Christmas tree...

The scene with the Mayor coming over to Jack's house excited to show him the plans for next Halloween and he wanted to go over them with him but he didn't seem to get his attention when he rang the doorbell he told him he couldn't do this on his own one of the musicians told him he hasn't been home all night they were not sure where he was as The Mayor in his distress fell down the steps to the house. He was worried.

What was this place he was very curious about the tree, so he placed his hand on the shiny bulb it was not a ball but a door knob. He opens it and feels a cool breeze, and it suddenly pulls him in.

He discovered a whole new place where the sun was shining in the woods. What was this place. The trees didn't have leaves. There was also no grass on the ground, no leaves. But there were trees with carved drawings on them a 3 leaf clover, a heart not like Jack was used to. an egg colored in bright colors, a giant bird that made him hungry, and a tree with balls on it and candy canes boxes under it as well...

Sally comes back to the castle where Dr. Finklestein is waiting, that she has come back for her arm that she had to, and he tells her that's the second time you slipped Deadly Nightshade into my tea. She then replies three times she said she was restless he says it's a phase it will pass. She wanted to be out with the people of the town with Jack. He also felt trapped in this town until he walks to the edge of town.

As Jack walked away from Halloween Town, he was wandering off thinking about why he did this every year and nothing in his being has changed over time he wanted something new. He didn't like what he was feeling inside, was he about to give up his Pumpkin King crown. Sally followed him as he walked past the cemetery, I know how you feel as she said as she was locked up with Dr. Finklestein, it felt like a prison.

Jack gets praise for his entrance his presence brought excitement to the town. The towns people had many things to say to him. Sally is mentioned watching Jack and Dr. Finklestein comes over, and Sally wants no part of it. So she pulls herself away undoing a thread that is keeping her art on that the Dr. is holding onto. She would get it back later. That the doctor put too much excitement in her.

It's like watching the movie come to life the prosession of Jack Skellington making his grand entrance going from a pumpkin head scarecrow to the dressed pin stripe suit of a transformed scarecrow of a man with a skull.

It's time I got to this book been waiting to read this one for awhile it starts like the movie with the trees marked with different things according to the holidays the fireworks the heart the turkey the tree and the pumpkin. So excited for this one.

He wouldn't ever see his family again the brand had changed him into something nobody ever saw coming the pain was still there he had parked near some big boulders and the coolness of them soothed him for a little while. He was now a monster like only one you would see in the movies. He was no longer a man but a great wolf with hair and claws standing 14 feet tall as he took off into the wilderness never seen again.

Mr Wilson ran out of time his arm was not throbbing with pain after Jack had branded him. The pain was unbearable, though he felt this urge in him a new energy he hadn't felt in years. He got in his car and took off for the last time. As he sped off, he went down the highway and ended up in a moor and began to change into a wild beast. Mr. Wilson was no more he was now a huge great wolf with sharp teeth and muscle.

His father wanted to change he wanted to be the man he used to be going to the army messed him up he had seen a lot of things that he couldn't get out of his mind. His dad gave Tom a bear hug and Tom told them he was going to stay one more dad at Eve's house as they left the house hand in hand. Tom was not sure what he just witnessed. His dad even said that he was going to cook lasagna tonight for his mom.

The door opened it was his mother and his father what was going on, his mother embraced him while Tom was in tears. Then Tom's dad interrupted he said things were about to change that they decided to give it another go Tom had been given a second chance why not his dad. His dad apologized to him that he was wrong and he was going to change he even wore a suit he said he was going to join a gym. Tom was so confused...

Uncle Rufus spoke to Tom briefly before something came over him that he was going through a rough time at this time. He had remembered. He told Tom he would make a great investigation for SPI Tom told him he would be leaving for Leeds with his mom he had told Eve. Rufus said it would be a great loss to SPI. It was then that a knock came to the door someone was there to see Tom, he was confused who it was to see him.

It was dangerous if kept the same then he was a target if it stayed on him as a mark of the beast.The investigator was on the screen and she was overhearing the conversation she had a matter to attend to so she had to leave. Mr Wilson from the school had the same mark they would contact him the next morning to get rid of it as well first thing.

He was talked to about going against what the professor told them not to do he went back to the school to take things into his own hands he could have been hurt. In The SPI, there could be no place for investigators who behave recklessly. Tom apologized after that. They then brought up the mark that was placed on the professor by Jack and his friend turned it into the eye of Horus.

They all get back to the house with Anwaar and talk about what happened with the professor and Anwaar and how the time apart had deepened their friendship. Anwaar told him where he went when he left. He went to the deserts of Iran, they taught him the art of demonology. Then they talked to Tom about his ability to investigate that he didn't think he could do. It wasn't over...

They kicked him in the hole, and they watched as he fell in. Hands started to rise, pulling his down. This was the end of Jack. The spirits were now at peace. Once it was all over, the light suddenly dimmed until it was dark again. Uncle Rufus couldn't wait to get home to go through all the equipment to see what they captured. They all wanted to go home now they were exhausted.

Who was this guy they wondered this was not normal. He said they were his protection. Suddenly Jack was on the ground next to the circle nearly pleading for his life. This was it. Anwaar opened up a portal that would send this monster back to where he belongs before it happens figures start appearing in light. These were all his victims the children their mother, Elizabeth and the other woman he did away with...

Jack started to get angry he showed himself on the ceiling he wasn't too happy showing his sharp ugly teeth, the floor was coming up outside the circle, and it was very interesting as inside the circle, everything stayed the same. Anwaar was ready to send this monster to the pit of hell where he belonged. Eve had asked Anwaar about his protection as he was outside the circle. He had tattoos that were shining blue.

Tom was a little frightened because he had already sent the children off to their mother as he knew what it was like to miss his mother. He was a target Jack may have gone after, but it was Eve that was going to be used as bait. As the women he killed were beautiful like her she blushed as Anwaar told her this but as soon as she was told to jump back in the circle she had to.

This was a very different way to try to get rid of Jack it made him weak. Before they were to get rid of him, they had to protect themselves. Anwaar knew of a different kind of protection he drew a 5 pointed star on the floor with a circle around it. This was their protection as long as they stayed in it, they couldn't be attacked...

If I'm honest, this scene could have been a little more fleshed out. Uncle Rufus' friend comes to the rescue for him as he was exhausted he asked the kids what happened to him after he had gone into Endeavour to capture Jack. It wasnt until his friend Anwaar had a different idea he was studying as a demonologist he had some little packets in his pockets that had some sort of dust in them...

They suddenly go to the professor and help him they had to act quick. The man had introduced himself he was a friend of Uncle Rufus from years ago. The man he told them about in the beginning. He whispered foreign words to Rufus Eve asked what he was doing he said this would help him but he would have a headache when he woke up.

Eve and Clovis go back in to the school after pulling Uncle Rufus out he had passed out from exhaustion and they now had to face Jack. Just as the evil entity was about to get them someone shows up they were not sure who this person was he poured a dust on Jack and all of a sudden Jack starts to disappear. Who was this man. As it happened it seemed like Jack was gone for good the man said he isnt gone yet....

Eve and Clovis didn't know what to do. Tom was rescued he was exhausted from his journey of helping the kids. Before Rufus went in he was out in the car. Now something didn't seem right they went in to find Rufus on the floor of Endeavor he seemed hurt they suddenly went to his side to see if he was ok. The kids asked what had happened Rufus told them he captured Jack he was still in the machine. Time was running out

As it went on Jack had been captured in the machine and he was trying to escape and trying to shut the machine down. This wasn't normal it had Rufus in a start of exhaustion as the machine started showing "Error" something wasn't right. Jack was showing himself to Rufus he was terrified trying not to look, but he had to know that he captured him. He had, and now the machine was shutting down. Rufus was slumped over.
