Amos was finally able to see King Richard again. Richard told Amos of all that happened he was now feeling better that dream was not happening anymore that Raspinir had healed him of it, but the king was now getting back to his duties. Amos was invited by the king to a dinner he said it would please him, so he did. Amos told a short tale of a king who asked wizards and magicians to work it didn't end well.

There was definitely something different about Raspinir. There was something to him as he wasn't letting anyone see the king. Amos was most concerned because he was one of his closest friends. The queen assured him he just needed some rest. That he should be able to have guests in a few days. That he was getting better. Amos knew there was something to this new healer man, but what was it.

A short chapter on a healer nobody knows the name of till the end, and Amos doesn't trust this man he was in the king's court for a year and was approved by the pope. Since he has been there, the king hasn't had the dream that was disturbing him since. The man's name was Raspinir. He wore all black and had long hair to his waste line, and it was tied up. He studied in herbs and healing arts.

A short chapter on their adventure to a castle to go see the king there. It was very hidden away it was very hard to get there by carriage. Some were in fear it would fall off the ledge but they made it. It wasn't like a castle they were expecting. It was very empty inside.

I really like getting back to a tale. The king is having nightmares it seems having a dream that he is swimming and silk is around him. The tale that is told here is of a nasty mean giant who captures humans to work for him so he can house a female giant who he locks away in a house he had built. He tied her to a chair, and now giants are coming to rescue her. He ends up getting locked up in a cave for life.

I'm just getting pulled into the world in every chapter. Owen is attending the meeting with his friends. They remind him college is supposed to be fun they wanted attend an art club meeting near the campus later on the same day. He was in orientation but now feels the two worlds blending as he starts to notice something by the end of the chapter something he remembers seeing in the Inbetween.

Your getting to see more of the world as it goes on Owen kind of feel s like he's been pulled into a place like the universe. Your seeing these weird new characters in the Inbetween place. It almost feels like a cartoon right at the end.

This chapter is about Owen the main character and the early life he had hanging out with his friends when his mom and his friend were friends back in the day. This chapter also shows his orientation welcome by his school.

My first kindle book in a while. I want to get back to reading digitally, I was surprised I kept reading let's see where it goes. Was the character dreaming what he was experiencing, or was this a real place.

The ashes part symbolized that and them all falling down to the ground was them dying all that time ago it was very real to Amos. This wasnt just a song to him as his family went through it his father and mother. He wouldn't
tell Lissette about this it was just very odd how much it affected him.

It's not until his son Jonathan learned a new game that sort of disturbed Amos that the boy learned from other kids of a family in Derbyshire. It was innocent to them but what it was really about was a plague. The song children sang ring of roses was actually about death how they had flowers in their pockets to try to protect them from the plague they would eventually die and get cremated...

Richard takes the very last vial of elixir and he promises Amos its ok that he was not going to want anymore that it could possibly be the reason he cannot have a baby with the queen, so he was done with it Amos was very happy and satisfied he was done with it. Amos and his wife were now traveling and Amos has some time to play with his boys...

King Richard is really taking the reigns as king now the death of his mother really seems to be passing now. He is more concerned of Amos bringing him another vial of the elixir he has been taking he said that it gives him wisdom when in fact its slowly poisoning him. Amos' wife knows there is something going on with him but he refuses to tell her and have it be on her shoulders as well. He chose not to tell her.

Something she wasn't expecting he got her email from Minnette he was asking her if she c was coming back to Poitiers for the summer. He ended up responding his time at 5 in the morning. There were 2 more months until she was out of school for the summer, so she couldn't wait to go. Minnette was emailing less and less over time. Anna came home bruised from a fight, but she enjoyed the way they made her feel stronger.

This came in very suddenly. I almost forgot about the story from the beginning with Anna and her friend Rhee. She came to her house one day, she was crying in tears her boyfriend broke up with her over a text. Anna was comforting her with ice cream and being there for her. Anna's dad also made her laugh so hard she got hiccups. Anna was also emailing Minnette and she noticed an email from Dodge...

A very short chapter one of Amos' friends came to the inn to stay for a bit and they made him welcome. Also it was time to lay the king's mother to rest it was a cloudy day with rays coming down as from Heaven to welcome her home.

He wasn't alive as a man he even got put in the ground. The other man couldn't believe he crawled right out of the grave he put him in. The man wanted his treasure that was greater than a king or a queen. He was going to protect it with everything he could by night and by day.

Amos now figured out how his son escaped on a wagon, and the reason came from his heart. He wanted to see his dad, Amos. The reward in return was a tale something he agreed to tell a story about a pirate who one man tried to kill but couldn't take over his ship even by stabbing him in the night with a dagger. The man was a walking corpse...

Amos' young son Jonathan goes missing, and the king's guard Lissette and himself are out looking when towards the end of the chapter he is found at Amos' the inn. How you would think they would have seen him. They are now off to the inn, followed by the king's guard.

Amos and Lisette were pregnant again they months later had another baby boy who they called Jonathan after her father. The boys were growing up everything was fine until someone came to the castle. Richard's mother had passed away. He was so destroyed he didn't want to meet with anyone by Amos seemed to be the only one he would see for awhile. He didn't talk much either. The double was put in place at this time.

Turns out they turned this situation of a doppelganger into what they called a mirror. This man looked exactly like Richard when Richard wanted time alone pr away, and he needed to be on the throne. The double would take his place so he could disappear for a while. He was informed of all of the king's duties, so he didn't always have to be there...

Amos sees a doppelganger at the inn that looks like the king he investigates it to see if its just the king in a disguise but he sees that its not he immediately summons the king to the inn so he can witness it that this is someone entirely different that looks like the king.

Amos goes to the lady that makes the potion and she thinks he is back for more potion but he says no that he is there to talk to her about the king's personal problem he can't be intimate with the queen. She gives him something she tells him to tell the king not to take the potion anymore. It's killing him slowly, and she has no cure. The king agrees, almost like he knows...

The king reminded him of the reward he didn't want it. He told him no amount of gold would ever satisfy him. He wanted the princess. The now were to plan a wedding. The later part of this chapter has to do with the young King Richard and his problems with his man hood why this was part of the chapter I don't understand. He could do the deed but every other time without the princess. This could have been left out.

She went to a magical place where unicorns were gathered in abundance they came in many beautiful colors, they could outrun any horse to not be followed. As it went on, the princess and Faulk talked, she told him he could never talk about this place or these unicorns would be possibly done away with putting them in danger. Faulk was more concerned about marriage at the end of the tale coming back to the castle.

The first part of this chapter was good. Amos' new tale about the Princess Pricilla and her unicorn and how she would disappear from the castle and her father told men that he would reward anyone who would go in search of her but one was out to ask her hand in marriage. This led to this man Faulk not telling the king where she would go. He kept this promise to the princess...

King Richard was about to get married and arranged marriage his mother put together it wasnt someone he knew or liked he wanted to marry someone else. But this was for the good of the Kingdom. Amos let him know of the potion he had been taking was like an addiction. He didn't see the bad in it because he always wanted more he told him he could stop drinking it at any time. Amos was about to tell another tale.

Amos finally comes back with Richard and all the commotion of the town and finds the castle in a mess inside, but Princess Joan leads Amos back to Lissette and his son. Amos, let's Joan Richard's mother know how brave he was to lead the rebels back, taking on his kingly duty. Everything starts to get back to normal. His mother is so proud of him. They name the baby Amos Richard after both he and the king.

So much going on in this chapter it was a little hard to follow. Seems like rebels are rising up there is a big battle and the towns people are taking things into their own hands. People are being killed and taken out. The only hope is in the king. The Lordship is what they want done away with except for the kings position. The king agrees. Tyler doesn't trust, and the Mayor runs a sword through him.

Amos, Lisette, and Chaucer were escaping to safety and the midwife who took care of Amos' son just after birth. Lissette had to be carried out by strong guards. They all made it out to the sea on a boat they all watched as the men who were trying to penetrate the castle finally got in, but they were gone. It was now going up in flames this could have ended bad for them. Now, where they were going was the next thing.
