Now that was cool. It was a story within a story of a man named Ham who had to go after the dragon who spoke that was invading the town for gold. He wasn't getting what he wanted, so at the last minute he took Ham's daughter right out of her mother's hands. He then goes on a small journey to rescue her from the cave he eventually finds her in. The next day, his plan
was to slay the dragon and rescue his daughter...

I'm really enjoying this story very light-hearted. This man Amos the Minstrel really cares for Richard, now his boy apprentice, almost like a son. He is caring for him, making sure he eats and gets what he needs. He tells another short story to the men who were hunting for Richard, but they dont find him hiding. As Richard brings a crowd together at the end of this chapter, another story starts with Dragons...

This chapter was kind of slow, but it just shows Amos and Richard settling into an Inn for the night, and suddenly, the men who were after Richard suddenly show up. Amos doesn't know what to do but try to hide Richard upstairs in the place they were staying...

Amos tells the story of the boy and his donkey to the crowd that gathered, how the donkey worked for him so he didn't have to do much work.

The Minstel Amos and the boy Richard becomes an apprentice. This is his job for the minute they come into a new town one where nobody knows him and he is about to announce Amos but he doesn't want to but when he realizes nobody knows him there he finally agrees. Richard pulls in a crowd to see what Amos will do or say...

This is like the beginning to a fantasy TV show. I can picture it. The Minstrel's traveling along and sees the boy some riders are after, and he hides him while the boy is in fear for his life. The boy tells him he is going to travel to Westminster, the boy isn't wanting the Minstel to go with him. Until he gets an idea to change his appearance, the boy says we can do that, he changes his hair color with charcoal...

I'm really liking this story its very modern day, but now it's going to tell a story from many generations back...

This book really surprised me that I started it and couldn't put it down. I like it so far...

A very simple message here at the end... Unity and loving others as God loved us John 15:12. We need to come together as one body in Christ, that is ultimately what God wants to make disciples and save people of the world so they can know He loves them. When we align with God we can restore blessings and Shalom. Unity is what we need in our lives. Those who are homeless as well we need to care for them as Jesus did..

Cornelius had heard of what Jesus had done for people and was fascinated. Both Cornelius and Peter were visited by angels of The Lord. Cornelius did exactly what the angel had told him, he kneeled with his family altogether to ask Jesus into their hearts. Both men realized Jesus was The Son of God and obeyed the angel. Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Life... They had now been saved...

This chapter made me think of when people come to Christ for the first time. They come from the world that doesn't give them anything but to be unfulfilled. This is the story of Cornelius and Peter, who both men went through similar things. Cornelius was a Roman centurion who commanded 100 soldiers he cared for people, but was a sinner, and one thing in his life that was missing was he was in need of a Savior...

Like the saying goes he had to learn the hard way and realize he was wrong. His father embraced him and took him back as a father should just like our Father in Heaven always does He puts us through trials and tests and makes us realize our way doesn't work. He brings us out of our troubles. In the meantime, He is maturing us and making us see all we need is Him in the end...

Even with Jesus' disciples: Thomas doubted, Peter denied, Simon a zealot, Levi the tax collector a sellout, and Judas a hater and traitor. The older Son lived in denial he thought he was faithful, hard working, responsible, righteous, and more deserving, but he seemed to think he was great in his own mind. His father never stopped praying for him...

God never leaves us. His mercies are new every morning. His blessings are new every day. We should not be looking to the past. We should look to the present and onward. His father took him back with compassion and love like God always does for us. God sees value in us that we don't see...

God wants us to be Holy and Pure. So, at times, He will stop us and remove things from our lives that no longer matter the dirt from our lives. God wants us to realize that all we need is Him. Sometimes, He will strip us completely to bring us back to Him. To make us see, we cannot do life without Him. The Prodigal eventually came to his senses and returned to his father like all of us need to do...

All he wanted was his inheritance he never would disobey his father's commands, but he had an ego he wasted his inheritance on things and pleasure. Like him, we get distracted in the world in the physical material, and we don't focus ourselves on the spiritual. Just like the scripture says, "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?" - Mark 8:36...

The Prodigal Son Story, this chapter, gives me a lot to think about. I've never known the whole story until now. We as a society can relate to this story. This chapter summarizes the message of the stories from the previous chapters and the book altogether from this point. As a wayward society, we are like the firstborn Prodigal son we have believed and strayed away from our Heavenly Father...

She told everyone in the village where she lived that Jesus loved her, The Messiah God Himself loved her. Jesus stayed in the land of Samaria for 2 days after that, and more outcasts gave their lives to Him. As we should make disciples of people we meet. We can be like Jesus and go out into the world and save souls for His Kingdom...

One of the famous stories in The Bible The Samaritan Woman. We can relate to in a lot of ways when God first found us as sinners, alone, and not going down the right path. Someone people looked down on, an outcast of society. Jesus reached out to her. He saw her and knew everything about her as He does us. He sees things we have yet to see like He saw in her...

Jesus told him to go back into the world and tell everyone what He had done for him (Luke 8:38 - 39) The man was set apart for sacred use by the God of the Universe. The place he came from called Decapolis was evangelized when he went back to the region because God had a plan for his life... (Mark 5:20)

This is a story I've never heard before the man who was demon possessed and how God took the demons from him and once again was a regular man which the people of the town were shocked by. He ended up becoming an evangelist. He was delivered from evil and was cleansed and was righteous full of purpose. He almost got in the boat with the disciples, but Jesus had work for him to do, he now had a testimony...

When Jesus walked on the water, that was a prophecy fulfilled in Daniel 12:5-7 Like He did with the disciples He will bring us to the otherside of the river. He's the God of the Otherside. He reaches out towards us, ready to rescue us in or times of difficulties, He pulls us out of troubled waters. All we need to do is ask. In the end Peter overcame his fears. He set out on his trip and changed the world. We can too.

We need to be like Peter and step outvin faith for the purpose God has already planned for us. The rest of the disciples were looking at Peter like he was crazy stepping out of the boat. They didn't know God was going to make sure everything would be ok that He was the Great I AM WHO I AM take courage and Don't be Afraid. He will always be with us through everything He will never leave us...

Peter's faith is what ultimately saved him he had to push his fear aside. With Faith stepping out of the boat of life like Peter did, there is always a RISK... God wants us to step out of our comfort zone, He always has better for us. He doesn't want us looking backward like Peter did looking down at the troubled water, not trusting God. If you don't step out in faith, you won't step out into what God has for you...

This chapter is on Peter, who was a lot like us as believers. This is when Peter walked on the water when Jesus offered out His hand to help him. In life Peter looked down This is what we do we are saying but Jesus can you really help me...and the answer is Yes! We need to stay focused and look to Him. He will make sure we don't drown in our storms...

Probably the shortest chapter in this book so far. Simply titled The God of the Otherside. It's a simple reminder that no matter what in life, things can be hard, but He went to the other side for us. He never passes us by. He will be there the moment we need Him. He will help us to get to where we need to go. It's His Plan, but He will not let us do this life on our own. He will ultimately meet us on the otherside.

Before all this, Mary was a prostitute and she had 7 demons in her. He healed her as He can heal us, but we need to have Faith. He keeps His Word to us. We need to have hope as Mary now did because she was now restored. She mistook Him for the gardener, she asked Him where her Savior had been taken to but when He called her name "Mary" everything changed she knew it was Him her Savior had returned to her.

This chapter is on Mary but doesn't really focus on Mary it's very repetitive. I know I read the same message 3 times or maybe 4. It could have been shortened. The message of this is Mary trusted Jesus up until He died she lost hope, but it wasn't until she saw the resurrected Jesus that she had her hope restored...

After all he went through, he still lived in fear like a lot of people today. It is God's Commandment to us. "Fear Not" we need to give it all to God. He wants to fight our battles for us. He wants to release us from darkness into His Glorious Light. We just need not fear. We need to put our focus on our faith and turn away from fear. How we do this Praise God, Pray, Trust, and Move Forward...
