Every line. Every line gives me shivers. I absolutely love this book, these books, David Eddings, ALL OF IT.

I haven't actually read this for a while, but I picked it up again and was struck with how much I really did love this story. Hopefully I'll have this finished by the time Autumn Republic comes out :P

It doesn't matter how many times I read these books--they are still amazing. And I don't care if the whole word thinks they're stupid, I'll still be reading them when I'm an old man in a rocking chair.

The first four chapters of this book has shown off what David Eddings does best--dialogue. He is a master of banter and quick, witty humor that easily characterizes and is highly memorable. The Belgariad and the Malloreon are quite possibly the most quotable series' I've ever read.

Still fantastic.

That first chapter was excellent. We get a picturesque view of the happenings back in the west, and we get to see some of our favorite characters again.

Very interesting short stories. Thoroughly enjoyed Guenhwyvar's origin story, and the other stories have been cool as well. None as good as Dark Mirror, though. But I'm listening to Sean Astin reading a story right now :D

The first story of the anthology--a classic high school romance story intermixed with aliens, was a little weird, but the second story is about sentient mice, and IT'S AWESOME.

Just finished "Mudboy" by Peter V. Brett. Faaaaantastic. I really want to read his stuff now.

This is a great book about writing and outlining and stories in general. Please...go read it.

Wow. There are a lot of great plotting tools in this book. Super great so far.

Loving it so far, and I haven't even reached the actors I know about! Dark Mirror was soooo good.

Listened to the audiobook for hours yesterday, as I started my annual reread of the Belgariad. LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH.

Sadly, did not get to read very much the last few weeks. But I am still very much enjoying this book. All I can say is... this beginning battle is not going to go very well. Bad things are about to happen....

As much as I love short stories...there's something about a good novel. Reading twenty short stories in a row messes with my brain.

Super fun anthology so far!

Enjoying it so far! Already read "Imaginary Friends" before, so I skipped that, but liked Patrick Rothfuss's story. As he said in the intro, it had a very lyrical, chantlike quality to it. Classic Rothfussian prose ;)

Loved Howard's story! In the middle of Brandon's and it is fantastic! :D

Mary's story was great! Absolutely loved it. And Dan's was awesome as well, though the main problem I'm having with reading these is the fact that I pretty much already know the endings... still great, fiction all around, though.

Absolutely fantastic so far. Mary's story, "A Fire In The Heavens" is wonderful :)

Yay! Kira and Marcus reunion! I still think Kira and Samm should get together though...but Marcus is awesome... arrghh I will not be embroiled in a love triangle!!!

I've been devouring this book like a bag of sour gummy worms--handfuls at a time.

Seriously, though, this book is FANTASTIC.

I can totally just feel when I'm devouring a book or not. It has become very obvious to me when I'm going to actually finish a book.

This is one of those books. And I can't WAIT to get to the end of this one to FIND OUT EVERYTHING....

Yeah... Dream Park just didn't do it for me. Some books that I really want to get into, I just don't... *sigh*

Oh well. Now I get to read Ruins :D :D :D :D

I am no longer complaining.
