Caleb M. Powers is 40% done with A Fire Upon the Deep (Zones of Thought, #1)

This is one of the best first introductions to an author I've had since Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game...and even though I don't think I quite like it more than that book, this is still phenomenal science fiction and I love it in almost every way.

Read this book.

I am so very much enjoying this book. I've read it before, many years ago, but found it hard to get through. I'm really flying through it now, and am really enjoying the differences between the films and the books.

I started reading these books a while back but got stuck in the middle of Two Towers and quit. Picking them up again now in audiobook form, and I'm enjoying every minute. It's so interesting to see the differences between the books and movies.

One of my favorite parts about David Eddings' works is the amount of readability they have. It's just so easy to pick up a DE book and just read for hours. It keeps you entertained (and because of this, you can even reread the books multiple times, like I have xD)
