Overall I have found this to be an enjoyable collection of stories that doesn’t necessarily hit the heights of Clarke’s full length works, although the one I am currently listening to is definitely my favorite so far (Tom Brightwind)

The story is weak and dumb and the authors acknowledge that but the tons of references, fourth wall breaks, and hilarious bits are what make this a good read

Didn’t realize this book took place in the same world as norrell and strange; excited to hear more stories involving these characters!

Childamash gotta be my favorite character he is so goated; Laselles might be the evilest dude in this whole thing😭 super excited for this finale

This might be the best volume so far😰 the worldbuilding and lore, the magic, the character nuances, the art and symbolism, the vibe- unbelievable 🤯🌳🧙‍♀️💀🗡️

Best first chapter of a volume- starts with one of my favorite chapters of the manga. Love the look into Isidro and the development between guts and serpico +guts and isidros relationship. Great run so far this volume this group dynamic is a well oiled machine with so much depth to explore

The structure of this story is fairly odd since it’s basically as if the plot follows the return of English magic and its effects on the world rather than one particular protagonist. While the protagonist role has switched over a few times, everyone remains relevant thus far; the plot is very meticulously laid out. Seems like a fae conflict is on the horizon now that the Napoleon war is concluded

The structure of this story is very interesting. I like the dynamic between norell and strange now that both are in play and there’s still that shit going on with Steven Black but I really am not certain what is going to happen from here- I am excited to find out!

There are a ton of interesting ideas in this story but I am still having a hard time getting pulled into it. Also i don’t read a lot of romance novels but i do not feel like this is a very well written romance💀 and shit like “he crushed her to him, claiming her lips” just makes me go 😕and why force a love triangle rn😭 we have bigger fish to fry man the immortal monsters are going to KILL you

Smooth transition going from Madeline Miller to Susanna Clarke, two really exceptional and well educated writers

After reading Circe I knew to give myself a little time to get into the book, and it did not take very long- by the time Achilles and Patroclus were acquainted I was very engaged and I have been thoroughly enjoying the story

Things getting a bit more interesting with the exploring of the world and introduction of characters like haruto
