Ah yes, the excellent fantasy series where the protagonist is obsessively in love with an insufferable girl, my favorite genre

So much plotting and explaining in this book, the past few chapters I have started to get more drawn in though

“How I Go to the Woods” might be my favorite so far

Good chapter to end part one. Story is at its best when it is getting into the characters, this part just required a lot of set up

Really beautiful; the Dog Songs selections were particularly exceptional

Planning, explaining, etc. I’m sure it will pick up more in the next part. Also allomancy really is a stupid power system to me🤷🏽‍♂️ all that said I’m definitely enjoying it

Entertaining enough, looking forward to seeing these plans in action. Allomancy as a power seems kind of dumb to me but oh well lol

Picked it up just to glance at the first few pages and was tearing up before page 10, couldn’t make myself put it down until I was 60 pages in just standing there, can’t wait to let this book ruin my day tomorrow

She has a way of portraying an experience that I find to be the most valuable skill a poet can have, and that her poetry is largely rooted in the natural world speaks to me

Still my favorite first half from the series so far, particularly the backstory interludes are great. I care a little less about the politics of the bondsmagi but that plot is still setting up well

Absolutely loving this, amazing read so far. The artwork is just delightful and watching mori and miyamotos rivalry develop so much within 14 chapters has already been incredible. Makes me want to climb so bad lmao

The dream sequence sequence holy fuck this is awesome, not to mention Guts Roderick and Serpico having a guys night😭 two of my favorite moments in the series so far back to back

Absolutely love the setting and this volume has also been super funny

Definitely the strongest start to any book in this series so far in my opinion

Loving this eerie island storyline with Isidro and puck running off to explore and meeting the weird girl who I imagine will Turn out to be the sea god or something lol also the idea of fantasia is dope now there are just dragons and unicorns and shit hell yeah

Really epic this section has been so awesome, really glad that Locke decided to listen to Jean and come clean with the Captain rather than try to screw them over. These Pirate ladies are awesome

Ever since they went to sea this story has been thoroughly entertaining!🏴‍☠️

The coloring is exquisite and I am super impressed with how authentically all of the characters from both franchises are portrayed so far, this has been great in super excited to read more

Really enjoyed chapter 5 with them being held up by the stupid highwayman that was a great chapter it felt like a tale as old as time in a way lol it had that classic feel to it, I also like that the current plotline has them learning to be pirates of all things lol definitely enjoying the story at this point

The narrator makes it way more swashbuckly than how the first one read on paper to me but it honestly makes sense, just takes some getting used to. Lots of timelines here as well makes it hard to get your footing but they are swindling away. Jean is a bit more dominant in this one already, I didn’t love the mopey Locke arc but he certainly had good reason lol

I like Kelsier and the magic system is very unique

As with the first book it is taking a minute to catch my footing here plus I am transitioning to the audio version since I got books 2+3 for one credit- I’m feeling involved in the current plotline already now I just need to get settled in the interlude plotline

Really seems like mostly spouting common sense alongside slightly related anecdotes but I guess it’s not bad stuff to have fresh in my mind

So far this has been pretty preachy and mostly common sense stuff which makes me feel like a chump listening to it lol but I’m sure there is value in here I mean I haven’t disagreed with anything so far, it’s just kind of put in terms that make me feel like a dweeb. But Carnegie is very renowned and my dad gifted me this book a while ago so I’m gonna see what’s up

Jean fight was awesome; looking like he is setting up a final confrontation at the Dukes celebration now with Locke and Raza both attending, I didn’t really expect it to come up like that but it makes too much sense now such a grand stage
