So far, not an easy read - they've had a baby, the mother died and the kid's growing up. I think this could last me a few weeks.

I had to re-read some bits but after thinking about the book it does start to make sense; you have to pay attention though

I'd forgotten about the creepy woman on the subway - I'm guessing she'll appear a few more times before we find out who she is

A lot of similarities to the first so far - I hope this one is going to feel original.

Getting funny now especially now they've left the farm and are pretending to be human. I have no idea what direction this book will take.

Good so far - I love the fact that Elsie the cow calls the TV a "box god".

I'm noticing the differences between the TV show and the book; so Jaime Lannister was going for this girl (his niece I think) on TV but in the book Brienne has shown up saying she found the girl - Arya or Sansa, possibly.

Good so far - noticing stuff that doesn't seem to have been in the TV show. I think the next chapter will involve Arya.

I remembered a joke I liked as a kid; Ruth changed her name because she was told Amazon Pirates were ruthless.

I've forgotten most of this - I didn't realise the Amazons showed up so early. I've got up to a good bit though.

Realising I was wrong about Kelderek now. Enjoying the hunt for the bear.

Feels like a combination of Biblical events and Game of Thrones.

Good developments now, particularly the notion that the bear will help the tribe to win in battle

Getting into this now. So they think the bear is Lord Shardik but he's also injured. Not sure what to make of Keldarek.

A difficult book to get into because of the small print, but loved the opening involving the bear - hoping the characters grow on me.

Pretty good so far - he's just about to enter Eastern Europe, during the time when it was under communist rule.

I'm finding the Iqbals most entertaining - mostly because of the scene where all the trainers/posters etc. got burned. Just occurred to me that the "White Teeth" of the title seem to be used as a metaphor for the characters in the book - also "root canals" used when talking about ancestors!

I remember the whole sequence where MR Iqbal wanted to abolish Harvest Festival.

I remember when ITV (I think) made this into a miniseries. It was quite good. So far they've had the build up to two characters meeting from both points of view.

I took a while to get the hang of who all the characters were but understanding it more despite it feeling really long-winded in places.

A bit long-winded at the moment; hopefully when he goes to France things will get more interesting.

More enjoyable than I remembered it - the villain is really creepy!
