If I had a nickel for every time the phrase “urban development” was used to describe the scenery so far, I would have two. Which is not a lot but it’s weird that it has happened twice.

too bad fanfics don’t count towards the reading goal. I read so many this year& I’m not talking wattpad ones, I’m talking well written ao3 why-are-these-authors-not-published ones. I read 300,000+ word fics back to back but couldn’t force myself to pick up 300 pg books. So many writers on ao3 are better than currently published ones, even when it comes to fantasy. The world-building, the prose 😩
