Take a shot every time this author says “sardonic”

I wouldn’t have mentioned it amongst the other syntax/word choice/grammar problems but really now..it’s too much

If I had a nickel for every time the phrase “urban development” was used to describe the scenery so far, I would have two. Which is not a lot but it’s weird that it has happened twice.

“Why does it smell like skunk in here?”

“It must be that perfume you wear, Celia. Seems to ferment after a while.”

NONNA PLS SKSK. she’s so funny. what a character

“I had always appreciated sad endings. I was a realist, not a romantic”

This better not be foreshadowing wtf
