Was able to squeeze a bit of writing today, but needed to quit early. Day game at the Nationals and have some really good seats thanks to a friend with season tickets who can't use them. Go Nats!

Chapter 14 of book #5 is done. Chapter 15 will be a new chapter, so may take a bit longer. Still going well. Shouldn't be too much longer.

Edits on Age of Empire are moving along smoothly now. I had a little bump in the road as I had to write a new chapter rather than editing existing ones. I realized I had been away from one character's arc for too long and needed to stop back in with them. With that done, it's back to just edits which goes much quicker.

Final edits are going well on Book #5 of Legends of the First Empire. Not as fast as I would like to have seen, but really like where the changes are taking the story. New estimate is end of June to have it completed.

Work on book #5 continues to go well. Now up through Chapter 11. It's still really, really long...but what has been edited so far is very solid...I think.

Another chapter down - and then some. Finished up Chapter 6 and the first section of chapter 7. So good to be on the final stretch of this series. Book #5 should be finished in 4 - 6 weeks.

Second pass edits on Book #5 (Age of Empire) are going well. First Five Chapters are done!

A few days ago I started editing the last book (#5) in the new series The Legends of the First Empire. I'm hoping to have it done in 4 - 6 weeks. Then I can move on to a whole new project!

The 2016 Del Rey Sampler is out (and it's free). It has an excerpt from Age of Myth and also 10 other sample chapters. Other contributors include China Mieville and Connie Willis. And....done! Finished edits on Age of Legends - the fourth book in the new series. Now I'm getting ready to enjoy Opening Day with the Nationals here in DC. A bit chilly but hoping the rain stays away.

I was on an "internal" schedule to finish editing book #4 of The Legends of the First Empire by end of March. Gonna miss it by about a week, but I was also traveling for a week so all in all still on a reasonable schedule. Just two more chapters to go!

I hope everyone is enjoying their Easter Holiday. I just finished another chapter in the edits of Age of Legends and I really like how the book is coming together. Hoping to have it finished in the next few weeks.

Had a great time at C2E2. Met a lot of nice people, gave away a bunch of the Age of Myth ARCs. The only downside is that Robin was ill. Need to get her home and feed her soup.

Tomorrow I'll be heading to ]Chicago for C2E2. I've posted my event schedule in case anyone is going. Even if you aren't going to the convention, and you live in the Chicago area I'd love to meet up. Please drop me a line and I'll see what I can arrange.

Got an email from TGR, who has finished reading Age of Myth and loved it. I've sent him a whole package of information regarding characters and pronunciation of words he flagged for clarification on. Looks like we are all set to begin recording in 11 days!! Robin and I will be in New York to sit in on the first few sessions.

Very entertaining beginning. I'e heard many great things about Daniel, and I think this is the perfect book to introduce me to his style.

Forgot to finish this off. The ARC version looks really good. Robin is on her way to New York today for a marketing meeting and should come home with an "official copy." I'm going to run a giveaway shortly. Stay tuned.

The proofing continues to go well. The copy editors have done a really good job and the layout is looking really good. Hope to finish up today.

I've been proof-reading the final version of Age of Myth as delivered to me by Del Rey. It's looking really good! Very excited that it will soon be on the presses.

The reading of Age of Myth's proof is going well. I'm able to multi-task doing it and writing on Book #4 (Age of Legends). Which is also chugging along quite nicely. Up until yesterday I had a few plot points that needed ironing out, but figured them out, so it's just a matter of implementation - which is the easy part! Excited for the new series.
