I keep willing this book to redeem itself but it just keeps getting even more annoying sigh. I would have dropped this book long back had I not looked for spoilers and found ONE reason I want to finish this book anyway. But damn, it's HARD.

I'd forgotten how much I love Morgenstern's writing style - both poetic and literal, verbose yet not pretentious, the fine line of difference that somehow only Morgenstern can walk on.

tbh, I don't normally have the patience to read through paragraphs of descriptive text but Morgenstern compels me because they're painting it out for me to see, not read and the aesthetic is so damn beautiful ㅠㅠ
