The battle imagery is still super visceral. I don't know why I keep forgetting that in between the fight scenes.

I...don't know how I feel about the Interlude, and I'm not entirely sure I liked what Pirateaba did with the last 5-ish minutes of Chapter 12 (right before the interlude)...but I'll have to see lol

I've been really into it for the most part.

Been a great climax. Riordan is masterful at wrapping up multiple threads and bringing back previously forgotten - but very important - elements from previously in the title/series overall to really culminate in something special.

Ooo, Chapter 8 was great. It's harder to be annoyed by Erin when there are other fun characters around. I guess I'm rather enjoying myself since I keep coming back to this when I have a moment lmao

Ope. I think this tiny introductory arc is done now. The story's about to get a bit bigger from here I think. (Just finished Chapter 7).

This book has so many copy edit mistakes it’s almost hilarious. Riordan’s copy editor really dropped the ball on this one 🤣

The voice of Erin on the audiobook is *somewhat* annoying ngl. I suppose I can live with it tho lol

Book 9 was amazing. So much banter - the thing I think that shines the most about his so far besides the stuff with the gods.

Went through chapters 2-3 now. I don't fully know what to expect from this, but it's pretty enjoyable. Nearly 1 hour down, more than 40 to go lmao

Only did the 1st chapter tonight - a real short one. A better hook than I expected.

Doing it on audio and expect it to be a very long term type of thing, here and there whenever I have nothing else better to do lol. We’ll see how it goes.

Overall, the stakes of this one still feel the most intense and real of the trilogy.

Starting off stronger than book 2 overall - the stakes feel more real.

Not much else to say at this point, I'm just a broken record. Continuing to love this.

Book 7 was heckin awesome 👏🏻

The first 50-75-ish pages of this are somewhat rocky, but most of the book since then has...possibly been better than the first book? I wasn't expecting that lol

I'll have to see for sure through this last bit.

I appreciate how Riordan honestly just goes balls to the wall with ideas. Even when things get somewhat strange, slightly cringe, or whatever, there's never a dull moment in his books cuz he always has SOMEthing going on.

Book 5 was pretty intense. Some pretty gruesome imagery in a couple places too.

Starting off at a breakneck pace already, but also strangely low stakes in a way. Time jump between Red Pyramid almost feels slightly unnecessary, leaving elements that could mean more if they weren’t essentially skipped.
