There's an abnormally large amount of exposition but somehow I'm alright with it. The audiobook narrator is fantastic, so that could be a factor.

I am struck by the sudden urge to finish this series! I'm rereading book 1 because it's been a while and the worldbuilding is so dense that it deserves another look with a proper frame of reference. Then... onto the four unread books!

Just as fantastic upon reread. Never a dull moment, never a time I wanted a POV other than the one I had, and the expanded roster of characters with New Pythos entering the fray adds much to the political struggles among the characters.

I've tried this twice now and both times it's done nothing for me. Calling it here with a DNF.

Reread time for this trilogy. Yes, it's only been a year since it concluded. Yes, I already want to read it again.
