This is definitely my guilty pleasure. I don’t even know if it’s good, but it’s entertaining, dramatic and dark. Each character feels like they are real people and while the situations they get into are completely rediculous that’s more or less the point.

Also, Oscar is totally Kyoya from Ouran but.. you know an American gangbanger covered in tattoos.

Glad I stuck with this one. The beginning was so cringe but it addresses it as the book goes on.

The self plugs are annoying as all get out. Either include the information or leave it out, or mention it once and let it go. Several times a chapter it mentions ‘further stories can be found in the podcast. How did that not get addressed in editing?

The Help: she just put everything I had issues with into word.

I really am not enjoying the way it’s split up between perspectives. They are just snippets before jumping to another person. And the slow slow reveal of what fates befell our beloved Gladers is agonizing

Watch out for book spoilers in the Essay: Not Here to Make Friends, most of them I didn’t mind as I have no interest in reading them but one of them was a book I’ve been looking forward to. And she spoils the entire plot.
