The gal that's narrating for Delia sounds *exactly* like Mrs. Minutes from the Loki series and now that I hear it I can't unhear it.

Quirky witches aunts are apparently one of my selling points

Someone else said that this might be too cozy and I think that's the case for me. I'm not engaged with any of the characters, I have walked away from my phone playing the audiobook and felt like nothing important happened that I needed to rewind for. I feel like the words are happening and nothing is sticking. May be a better physical read? Idk

Excited about this one! In kind of a reading slump so I'm hoping it's good.

I think because there was absolutely no doubt about who the evil twist was going to be, one I think would be equally obvious if I was a kid, the end battle feels less intense.

This gal is suffering hard from parental neglect and PTSD. So not communicating makes sense. It is still frustrating.

This is less the self help story that I was looking for and while the writing is lovely, I'm not really looking for a book about antidotes. I think the idea of wintering is a good one and there is another book coming out soon that may be more along the lines of what I was hoping this one would be.

We LOVE an ending where all these people go to therapy because they needed it

This is spicier than I would normally read but I really like the MCs and the setting.

The phrases "sex demon" and "trash goblin" in the same chapter made me seriously laugh.

Enjoying this a lot! The Isle Esme comparison made me smile.

Reading for book club!

I love that Han is autism coded and they openly have a scene of him being overstimulated, nonverbal, and stimming. Makes me feel seen.

This is kind of thick with commentary but that's also the point I think. Regardless it is doing a really good job. No wonder! I didn't realize it was written by the same gal who played the character on Supergirl.

As someone who struggles intensely with sensory sensitivities, it kind of makes me want to cry to see Han also struggle with these and to see the decisions that he and I both have to make that others never will.
