Again. The curse reveal is surprising to no one. I thought of it right at the beginning. Not worth very little happening in the middle.

Wow. This surprised no one. I hate the poor communication/miscommunication trope.

I went from this being one of my most anticipated books of the year to having no desire to push through and finish it. So I'm not going to make myself and I'm sad about it.

Another year, another attempt to cut down my Goodreads TBR to what I actually want to read. Being kind of ruthless this year.

Logistically how would these people who probably never met or saw Amelia know where she would be?

I LOVE this! I love the story, I LOVE the aunts, I like the main gal, and the tone and art are on point. I can tell this will be an absolute favorite.
I'd say it would be an awesome TV show but I don't want it to be ruined.

This weaves in a conversation about child stars and how they are manipulated and abused by the Hollywood system and it's done really well.

The idea that Arden thought Caroline would suddenly be down to fake date her after she ghosted her for four years still absolutely baffles me.

I'm taking this in chunks but it's easily getting a 5 star when I finish.

I didn't even realize that I had stopped reading this till I looked at my Goodreads just now. I'm sad how underwhelming and forgettable this installment has been, as the other one made it all the way to my shelves in physical form. I am probably not going to finish it this year, with my focus on holiday reads, but I might finish it in January. Not motivated though.

There a lot of "oooo somethings going to happen" or "oooo this feels tense and ominous" but a whole lot of nothing has happened.

I'm loving this cozy mystery and it happens over Christmas!

Next to Kristen Neffs Compassion book, this is the best mental health nonfiction I've read. It's truly a resource I'll be recommending to all I know.

This is perfect for winter/Christmas time!

I am loving this. Not only is it cozy, it reminds me of the kind of imagining that I used to do with my friends growing up. I love the elements of role playing that are mixed in and am actually glad that the universe made me wait to read this book til I was into DnD because it means more to me now. Also, as someone who loves the art of folklore and storytelling, I'm loving those elements that are being woven in.

A DnD reference? I'm in!
Also, Milo is giving major Autism coded character vibes, especially with the dislike of the new people, disruption of his presumed schedule, need for personal space and intense dislike of those who take over that space uninvited, and his need for certain things to be the way that reliably are and having an intense emotional reaction when they are not.

Saw somewhere that this is a duology and wondering why we're 45% of the way through and basically nothing productive has happened

Got so excited about this book I didn't check the TWs. Big mistake. Should have added it to my Books I Shouldn't Touch list because major TW for suicide that I was not prepped for.
