I'm so confused, nothing is the way I imagined and I'm taken of guard by everything : the story, the pace, the characters, the tone. I don't dislike at all, but it's giving me a hard time to really get into it. I can vividly picture the settings, the atmosphere, the characters and their clothes, but it feels really distant

I am indeed scared :)

I wish it was translated so I could recommend to people :(

I wish it was slower and spookier, and overall that there wasn't so many unbelievable plot devices/shortcuts :(

acknowledging how important this book is and how fundametnal it is for teenagers to have such a book, but it feels too young for me. Like I'm not really interested by all the details of Starr's everyday life, I assume they could make her very relatable to a younger audience, but as an adult I'm really not invested in the lil family interections -although they're cute (and i'm so over the numerous HP references)
