JFC, I thought reading really hot sex scenes was a turn on...listening to them is as good as actual porn. Fuck. Also, how in the hell do the narrators not pop wood? (Provided this was their cuppa, that is.) I tried reading some passages out loud to myself, using the same kinds of inflection and tone. Yeah, I need a cold shower now...

So, already upped my 2016 challenge total from 150 to 300 a few weeks ago. Just increased it to 500 today. I'm probably going to change it again though...should probably really make it a challenge and set it for 1000!

Kinda made me think. This conversation that James & Rafael were having, it's certainly a different (and not always acceptable) view on wanting to stay "closeted." Family is far too important to risk losing them for someone who isn't his forever guy. They know he's gay, but they pretend he's not & he pretends it's "a phase" to keep the peace. Not many guys would put up with being labeled just "roommate" for long...

OMFG I am having the hardest time NOT PICTURING John Cooper and Ben Sherman from Southland...which is NOT a complaint because hells yeah I used to beg for some sweet, sweeet, man lovin' from that pair. Only got it from one of them though (which, at the time, was enough of a surprise that I think I fell off the couch).

Oh man, that kind of life must take it's toll on people...like getting probation or parole...it's almost no better than just staying in jail. At least there's no constant fear of being rejected, or of breaking rules or associating with people you couldn't know were cons...or be desperate for a fuck and need a bar but know you can't go...responsible for everything to support yourself but hardly given the chance? Nope.

LOL! So true - people actually think the CSI techs are gonna come in and dust for fingerprints for a measly stolen car or break-in. Yeah, not so much for any non-Podunk town where cops might have shit else to do. In the real world "budgets" are stretched so thin it's embarrassing and labs don't work that quickly. A smaller staffed UC investigation means it's pretty much all handled by a small staff.

Oh, this set up is very reminiscent of the best parts of "White Collar" (and, the somewhat lesser known "Breakout Kings" - which was AMAZing). I'm quite fond of that whole scenario so I'm hoping this story does it justice. Especially with all the UC work. Gah, I love that.
