It's funny how worried I can get for Roland in his coming-of-age when I know the result.
Also, Jake kinda annoys me.

I like the story so far, but the sort of patronizing, sing-songy narration is a bit twee.

The 6 Napoleons one was kinda fun, though a bit predictable. (Is it just me, or does Holmes sometimes come off as such a genius in these stories less for what he's done and more because he's surrounded by idiots?)

The come together... they fall apart...

I guess it's ok for the woman to run off into danger, since Chang, the assassin/spy/thief/jack-of-a-trades-for-hire-sort, also seems to make a lot of stupid decisions and end himself up in precarious positions, too.

So the woman runs off and does something foolish again. How surprising.

The three protagonists are only now starting to actually come together. And by only starting, I mean one's seen an other from a distance...

Interesting and weird. A bit slow starting, but as potential.

I liked the faerie stories... not sure about the Elder Gods ones so much.

I like the narrator - self-deprecating, witty, empathetic. I've grinned, chuckled, and teared up, in the first 23 pages. I have high hopes for this so far - hopefully it stays on course.

As we get closer to the end, things pick up and are actually well-paced and somewhat suspenseful.

I have developed an irrational hatred for the words "inkvine scar".
